  • Very Frustrated!

    By Greenmg53 (Pcmac user)

I updated my IOS to 13.1.2 and lost the app I originally had for my Opticon OPN. I downloaded the new 2.0 app for my hearing aids, went through the repairing of my hearing aids to the new update. I followed the 2.0 pairing guide, using the hearing aid accessory on my iPhone. My Opticon OPN hearing aids paired almost instantly. I then go to the new Opticon 2.0 app to adjust the volume on my hearing aids, and the app says my IOS iPhone Bluetooth is off. I checked my iPhone settings, and Bluetooth is on, so back to the 2.0 Opticon app, and it shows that it is disconnected from Bluetooth. I do not understand why this is!! My former Opticon app worked well, and I even purchased the additional Television Opticon accessory so I could Bluetooth the TV sound directly to my hearing aids. Can someone from Opticon help me PLEASE!! I depend greatly on the Opticon app to help me adjust my hearing aid volume for environments of noisy restaurants to quiet church settings. I am very frustrated, update 2.0 took away what was working quite well. PLEASE OPTICON HELP ME!!!! Thank you, all that I want to do is to use my iPhone to adjust my hearing aid volumes. That is the reason I purchased my VERY expensive hearing aids, because my hearing aid professional told me Opticon had one of the very best iPhone apps.
  • Why???

    By CruiznAz (Pcmac user)

I just updated my app a couple of days ago and I have to say, of all of the apps that I frequent, this has to be the worst!!! Most of the people that use the app are 56 years of age or older... do you honestly think this is an improvement?? I am in my 60s and I certainly don’t have the time or energy to adjust to a new app when the original version was not only working great but was easy to navigate for someone of my advanced age! I am not computer or tech illiterate but there was no reason to make all of these changes... I can muddle my way through this app but why should I need to, so some IT person can justify his/her job?!? Apparently I am not the only user that has this opinion... look at your ratings so far. Hey, here’s an idea, why don’t you offer both apps and let the user decide?? Let’s do an experiment; make the old version available and see how many people switch back?!? I don’t know who will read this review, hopefully it will be someone that has the juice to do something about this. So far the the app App receives an ‘F’!! Please let the consumer decide and offer the previous version!! Completely frustrated... Michael J. Mesa, AZ
  • Hate the update

    By Awpa2010 (Pcmac user)

So the new update randomly shows up. I hate it. It takes too long for the app to connect to the hearing aids even when its already connected. It drops blue tooth connection to much, when I open my app, I expect to be able to adjust mt hearing aids right then and there, not wait. There is now always a delay when I make phone calls and I am connected to blue tooth and lastly, outs ugly. Where is the prett back ground that I can pic. Bring back the old app, it had less bugs it seems like. This app absolute stinks. I was hoping the more I used it and over time it would redeem itself. Nope, absolutely hate it!! If I didn't have to use it to control my hearing aids, I wouldn’t use it at all. If there was a way to give no stars, I would. It shouldn’t have to take 1-2 minutes for the app to reconnect to my hearing aids so I can adjusts the volume or change the channel, UNACCEPTABLE. As someone who has been using hearing aids for 38 years, I have never been this dissatisfied with something hearing aid related. Let me make it clear, I love my hearing aids, but I hate hate hate this app.
  • Sad and it doesn’t work

    By 5836 (Pcmac user)

This app was suppose to help me use my hearing aids. It is a very unstable program. I have the the app opn s 1. I have two of them. It has trouble with communication with both hearing aids. It has also lost its ability to work with the iPhone microphone. This is very frustrating as it is the main way to turn the volume down. It gives me the same error message as another user has stated. Please fix this app to work better. I read your tech support response and it is very unexceptionable. You sell the hearing aid with features. They cost a small fortune. I expect you to keep the features the same for at least a year. Your competition is doing a much better job than you are. They offer more flexibility and do not put junk apps out. Look at what they do well and fix this app. Those who use hearing aids need reliable programs with flexibility not excuses. You should be a shamed and embarrassed by your companies performance. I am very tempted to send them back to you because you are not doing a quality job.
