Works but costs

I didn’t download this app because I cut the cord or something. I downloaded it to view my movie projects on my fire stick without having to download it to my phone and lose precious phone storage. Except, this app forces you to pay for a lot of basic functions like scrubbing the video. I’ve found that this app will stop at a certain point during playback without fail, forcing you to watch the movie from the beginning which can be time consuming and extremely frustrating. If you want to be able to resume playback you’ll have to pay for the scrubbing function but I suspect as soon as you pay for that, the video won’t suddenly stop more than halfway through your video - making your purchase almost useless. I wouldn’t suggest using this app if you’re going to be watching movies because it will almost always suddenly stop working during the movie and force you to either buy the scrubbing function or start your movie over from the beginning. Unless you want to pay for those things. If you’re just trying to use it for free like me, it’s best to use it for videos 30mins or less.

This is the second version of this app I have tried. The one for the chrome cast works flawlessly and I cannot recommend highly enough. I've only had the fire the app stick and this app for a little over a month and it's spotty at best. The first issue I had with it wasn't even performance related but rather that you had to pay extra for the video progress bar. That was free with the chrome version and without it all you have is play and pause control. Now to the performance issues. It doesn't connect about 50% of the time, even after restarting the app on my phone and the fire stick or restarting the fire stick all together. I've only had this issue once or twice in over 3 years of use with the Chromecast. I don't know if this is a hardware issue in that the Chromecast is a better product with better comparability for third party app integration or what. Very disappointed with the Fire stick version.
Works but Very inconsistent

I downloaded earlier in the summer. It worked immediately but almost just as immediately I would find that it’s very glitchy. It works without issue for maybe 60-70% of the time. And then it’ll go a day or two or 3 even without being able to connect no matter how many times I reset my Firestick the app or iPhone. Sometimes the glitch can last a few hours sometimes it’s a few days. That’s what I find extremely irritating. I paid for the app and as much as I love it when it’s working. 60-70% of the time is a very low bar for performance. I don’t understand why this glitch can’t be fixed. I wish they would man up and do something already...it’s last update was nearly 3 months ago. Not cool. It could be and should be so much better but alas it seems like no one cares to address the problem.

I’ve been using this app for a while, and once you get the hang of it (and learn a few tricks) it’s pretty fantastic... I have both a Fire Stick and Chromecast, and this allows me to stream through each with relative ease. But I took away 2 stars for this review because it’s suddenly not working! I copy and paste the url into their browser, as I’ve always done - but when I hit “go” the address bar disappears, and it just stays on the homepage. I sent an error report to customer service, and so far I’ve only gotten an auto-reply saying “we might not respond but will note your issues” or something like that. Hopefully this is resolved soon, so I don’t have to find a new app for casting. Bummer. :-(
