Software Features and Description

1. Upgrade to R-Cast Radical Edition (in-app purchase) to watch videos longer than 10 minutes and resume previous video casts.

2. Cast online videos from your iOS device to Roku! Use your TV to watch videos that are embedded in webpages.

3. Install R-Cast channel in your Roku and install this R-Cast app in your iOS device.

4. If you see R-Cast channel load the video and return to the home screen it is usually because of incompatible video format.

5. You will only be able to cast online videos from webpages and not the videos stored in your device.

6. Roku doesn't play all video formats that play in iOS devices.

7. If the video website already has a Roku channel, please use its channel.

8. Please note that not all videos can be cast, including HTTPS videos, live streams, etc.

9. Once you connect the devices to the same Wi-Fi network, this app will detect your Roku devices.

10. If it still fails to detect then add the Roku manually using its IP address from Roku's Network Settings.

11. YouTube videos in HTTPS will not cast, please use the YouTube app.

  • No longer works on Liveleak

    By Th3Tinkerer (Pcmac user)

Used to use this to watch Liveleak vids on Roku. Now the Liveleak player doesn’t even play videos in R-cast itself. Useless app.
  • App DOESN’T Work!

    By Koffeequp (Pcmac user)

I installed this app to my iPhone as I’m trying to stream video from there to my Roku-4 where both are on the same network (only network available). Both devices are connected to network but this app cannot see the Roku. I’ve done everything I can to troubleshoot this, including manually entering the name and IP address of the Roku box and the app keeps saying ‘not found’! Don’t wast your time OR MONEY, on this app. If a free or trial version doesn’t work, don’t even be scammed into thinking an upgrade will fix the problem.
  • Used to work fine, but....

    By BobVP (Pcmac user)

This used to be my "go to" app for sending web videos from my iPad Pro to my TCL Roku TV. Then I got an "update" earlier this year, and it simply stopped working. Doesn't matter what site, it is just plain broken. Can't even get a video to start in the embedded browser, much less send it to my TV. I guess that's $3 down the drain, unless someone gets their act together and fixes the most basic function of the app. Update: I see they don't support that IS the standard for all websites now. This effectively makes this app useless for 99% of web videos. Very poor business decision by the developer.
  • Videos don’t start

    By pyrobob06 (Pcmac user)

Videos don’t start, or only playing a couple of seconds and freeze. Can’t go back on webpage
  • Yes.

I like it very very much.
