Game Features and Description

1. Touch Pianist is a musical toy / instrument that allows the user to perform hard-to-play classical piano music favorites (from composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Satie, Debussy to name a few) just by tapping the rhythm of the piece's particular sound events on a computer keyboard or a touch screen.

2. Touch Pianist has CoreMIDI support so you can use your favorite piano / sound plug-in in your computer as a sound source if you wish.

3. There is no score keeping, the user is free to perform the music in any way they wish.

4. Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Brahms, Schumann and many, many more! Playing them is extremely fun, and no prior musical skill is needed.

5. The premise is that it is really fun to perform a piece you know well, exactly like you feel it with so little effort.

6. It also provides live visualisation of the pieces that are being performed.

  • The ads are awful!

    By marcintosh (Pcmac user)

I don't mind ads on a free app, but these ads are awful. Every time you go back to the main menu you get an ad and every ad has video. And since you have the sound turned up to hear the app the video is really loud. My choices are buy a song or delete the app. It really feels like bait and switch to have to pay to get rid of an unpleasant experience.
  • First time I’ve ever made music. I cried.

    By MadFranklin (Pcmac user)

Absolutely fabulous! I play on my patio on under the air traffic and nobody minds me blasting poorly played classical music. So much fun I paid for the total unlock. Now my neighbor, (a retired high school music teacher) wants to know how I learned to “play”. Nyuk nyuk nyuk!
  • Too expensive

    By anroig (Pcmac user)

I would pay for every song if it costed less than twelve dollars. 5 bucks and I would definitely buy the every pack option, but I'm not spending any money on this app otherwise. Also, there need to be more options, like a way to stop the volume from changing based on where you tap on the screen, and an option to turn sustain always on or off. Also, add Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu and Beethoven's Fur Elise.
  • The Micro-Transactions are ridiculous

    By BrokenGameOfWar (Pcmac user)

The PC version of this comes with all packs unlocked, no need to pay for anything. Maybe it's because cause nothing new will be coming to that platform, but packs that are available for free on PC cost money on the mobile app. Utterly ridiculous. The app itself on PC is amazing and peaceful but I cannot enjoy on mobile what I do on my PC. For this, barely 1 star.
