how can I track my swing?
  • Fun tool but needs work

    By Godzilla3082 (Pcmac user)

I've used my the app for about 7 hitting sessions so far and overall, I like it. For the most part, it does a decent job of differentiating between, serves, forehands, backhands and volleys. It also detects spins fairly well. I feel that the speed detection is off though. I haven't compared it with a speed gun yet but I don't feel the speeds are accurate. It shows my first serves range between 110 and 120 mph. My serves may be coming in that fast but I highly doubt it. I'm guessing it's 10 mph too fast. It also said my fastest forehand was 112 mph, no way! I hit my forehands hard but not that hard. My backhands, which are about as quick as my forehand, rarely get a reading over 50 mph. I'm guessing the discrepancy is due to my abbreviated backswing on my backhand. I'm also not keen on the constantly flashing blue light. I'd hate for my opponent to accuse me of a hindrance because of the distracting light. Hopefully a new firmware upgrade can fix these two issues.
