Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using SkinSAFE on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SkinSAFE"
The search will reveal the SkinSAFE: AI Skincare Scanner app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SkinSAFE is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SkinSAFE.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »

Hardly tailored

The extent of filtering for products is shown in one of the screenshots, and can be seen on the this app website. They are broad swaths of general categories. My patch testing from years ago indicated allergies to specific chemicals that can be used for multiple purposes in a wide variety of products. Which of the “common allergens” do carba mix components (rubber accelerator chemicals frequently found in personal care products, with various names like Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate) fall under? You can’t filter for specific ingredients and their aliases or related chemicals, so the app over simplifie, resulting in either limiting your products too much, or completely missing allergens, or risking missed allergens because we can’t tell what is actually included.

Seems like it can be useful but it only uses certain codes. I have spent lots of time and money visiting allergists doing testing and received codes but they don’t work here. I guess I will continue to download PDFs and manually search The Allergy Database as it’s updated and read labels. Has lots of potential. Would also be nice if you could enter ingredients yourself as my allergy codes and testing only revealed certain chemicals as they can only test for a limited number of chemicals and common allergens, and some patches don’t come out with clear results but you later discover more on your own through elimination.
Not gluten free accurate

I was sooo excited to have another app to check allergen ingredients for skin care and makeup. Sadly, too good to be true. It seems they’re only scanning the ingredients, there no in-depth research. I recently found a bunch of Beautycounter products listed as gluten free that contain ingredients the Beautycounter lists on their website as derived from wheat, rye, and barley, particularly, beta-glucan, diheptyl succinate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic a is, sclerotium gum, and sodium hyaluronate. Hoping future versions fix this issue. I can only assume all the gluten free labels are unchecked and would not feel safe about any other allergens either.

Nice app, just wish that when you scan a product instead of the app saying that it has been added, it would bring the product up so you can see what ingredients are in it if it safe for you. If you are allergic to many things it would be easier for you. I do like that you can add products to checked out.
