Great app and service but...
By Tango Lima Juliet (Pcmac user)
the app is a great idea, they have a great app and website but they don’t have the best support. There was one great encounter I had with a the app employee over text, they were very good with communicating to me the information I needed to complete the job, sadly I don’t remember the employee’s name because I think they should get a raise. The rest of my encounters have been insanely short and not helpful. I’ll ask for more information and 98% percent of the time the answer is just “no”, “ok”, “yes. thanks”.
As far as making money goes I’ve been paid,(somebody downloaded my video), about 65% of the time which is a good ratio being as there are plenty of other Stringers in my Metro Area.
If you’re in the area (within 1/2 a mile on foot, 5 miles with a bike and 20 miles with a car), 80% of the time it’s worth it. Also it’s worth noting that the app usually takes an average of 25 to 45 minutes after the PD/FD is dispatched to put out an alert for a big fire or accident call so if you see something big or are near something big, film it and text/call the app and let them know about it. I
Definitely download the app and get payment setup, you’ll never know when you’ll happen upon something good.

Needs better communication
By macawso (Pcmac user)
I. am. so. sick. of driving out of the way to film scenes and not get paid for it. Especially when I’ll get texts from the app asking me to go film something only for the organization that requested it to change their mind and you spent an hour of your time filming something for free. This can be solved through basic communication between the people requesting footage and those who film. If you put out a request but then decide to send your own staff to go film a scene, then please let whoever accepted the assignment know that their footage is no longer needed. I also wish the app didn’t keep it a secret as to who is requesting the footage. Would be nice to see your own footage on the news. Overall I think the app is a great way to make extra cash but they need to communicate more and if they no longer want footage LET US KNOW.

Best freelance videographer app concept
By Zackchicago (Pcmac user)
Thanks to Lindsay Stewart, co-founder, of the app using technology and her vision to develop this app and opening new arena for amateur videographers. Yes it’s a quick buck in an hour. Who doesn’t love it. Also somebody is always there to reply to via text messages. Payment is very next business day upon video acceptance. App is simple and easy to use. Only glitch I noticed that video upload pause if you are working on another app or taking videos or turn off the screen. Basically, the app app must be open in foreground for faster videos upload.
Rest is cool.

So far so good
By Vegas Press (Pcmac user)
This is the only app that I’ve actually made money on. So far I’ve been paid for two downloads on one video, I’m awaiting payment for another video downloaded yesterday. Here in Nevada, an early primary state, gets lots of political requests.
My complaint is that several assignments lacked enough information to find the event at places like UNLV. Also some information they’ve given on registration hasn’t worked. I now register as a member of the public.
