Was a pretty good game in the beginning, but for over a year now its been a wallet squeezer. They have weekend events to get an additional ancient (which is the centerpiece of this game besides dragons), seems nice right but then you can only use one per battle (so what is the point of having 80+ ancients). Lots of bickering in kingdoms because you literally have to play all weekend to get enough points to get the ancient. Then you get to do it all again a week or so later, super grind. The other kicker is special items come in chests you purchase via cash or gems but there are so many useless items in the chests and they have a higher drop rate than items you want so you spend a lot hoping to get a particular item. Customer service actually told me its based on luck, well good luck getting my funds, already spent enough on this app.

Love the different ancients and playing live with others. Great social game. Dislike customer service. They send an auto reply and then tell you your mistaken or ignore you. iTunes great job of fixing their errors. VIP is determined by no set way. I spend way to much time on this game but it’s fun and entertaining. This is the only game I spend money on that I have a budget for. The environments are great the world is awesome and engaging and the interaction with other players is there at my desire to exchange words. As the player I am in control of everything in my kingdom. Where things go and how high I want to level anything up. There’s also plenty of rewards for achievements as a team and as a player.

Very repetitive gameplay, little change

I’ve played this game well over 2 years and it’s been fun at times. The issue with it is it requires a lot of money to play and the base game see no innovation. Space Ape still subjects you to mandatory replays of your base getting leveled over and over on launch. The only thing that changes are that they add new ancients and various base upgrades, both of which cost a significant amount of time and money to obtain. The repetitive monotonous event base grind causes tension in kingdoms between players for those who can’t keep up. This is not a casual game whatsoever, prepare to invest a lot of time and cash if you want to compete at all.
