  • Feedback

Really well made base-building game with excellent progression and mechanics. There are a couple of things I would like to suggest. As a lower level player, you unlock more buildings at quite a fast pace, and its very difficult to keep your base organized and efficient. I think a base editor button would be great because current you have to stash each individual building which can be grueling, and there are occasional glitches where you place all your buildings only for the game to tell you that you havent so you have to leave the screen and lose all your remodeling. The other thing is the combat. While the progression and quest lines are great, the combat itself is pretty lackluster. Perhaps more dynamic battlefields, or customizable troop models could make it more enjoyable, but for now it’s basically 2-3 unit types on every single battle, with no real strategy involved. Other than that this is a fantastic game and I cant wait to see this game grow overtime.
  • Connection errors

    By Deb85233 (Pcmac user)

I’ve been playing for little over a month and twice now I’ve been locked out due to connection errors. On Facebook there is the official group where I posted I could not access the game. Days later, after I had regained access due to update by innoGames, I was told by someone that officially represented the game, it was a problem with my app on my tablet and not the game itself! Both times I was locked out, it was remedied by an update from the developers. Some people took the advice of these people on the official Facebook page and deleted their app and reinstalled only to find the connection error again. Then once update came through, they find themselves at the very beginning of the game. That’s really a shame for those people, I would never start again! This stupid assumption on the part of the people answering these concerns incorrectly needs to stop. One poor person posted how he lost all his progress and does not know how to restore it. I’m guessing it can’t be restored. So I will say I enjoy this game, when it works and please don’t delete your app and reinstall because the “know it all experts” from the official Facebook can’t acknowledge the fact that it is their servers and not your phone or tablet
  • Bottlenecked quicker than any game I’ve played

    By Weresmypita (Pcmac user)

First off, I want to say how this game does well in its tutorial. Starting off, it’s at a really good pace and helps you learn about the game as you progress. Visually it looks great too, in a fan of the art style. However, the speed of how quickly the bottlenecks approach are ridiculous. I think if you’re a regular mobile phone game player, you understand that this is common. In this game, you won’t even make it past the first day playing until you’re bottlenecked on supplies (gold in my case). I get that maybe as a casual, couple hours a day at most, you won’t really notice this, but anything more and you suffer. The only meaningful way to get more gold is to wait in the game times and collect it from the town centre and houses. You can get it from attacking or incidents, but those are negligible at best. Just wish it wasn’t such a hard bottleneck so early on in the game. EDIT: I hope this feedback, and others I see similar to mine, actually does something. I’ve continued to play the game and the gold problem has switched to food. Some of the rewards, like winning a battle and incidents, have not really changed much since I’ve progressed with the increased cost of everything else.
  • Disappointing but solid empire builder

    By Blackavar015 (Pcmac user)

I played Forge of Empires for several years (quitting mainly so that I could regain my life), and I don’t really understand the point of this game in Innogames’ portfolio. Maybe if I hadn’t played FoE for so long, I would like it. Here are the gripes: so far, there is a constant tension of having too many buildings and not enough workers to keep them running. Maybe folks like that sort of resource dilemma, but it’s not my cup of tea. Why should I build 2 more farms for the questline when I can’t even consistently run the 3 that I already have? Another is that it is buggy - mainly, trouble with server disconnects (which don’t happen with the many other app games I play) and incidents freezing. Also, if FoE is Formula One, this game is a tricycle. It’s very slow paced with very little razzle dazzle. Finally, and this was my coffin nail, you have to have blueprints for every level of wonders you level up. Again, coming from FoE, this a painful delta. It does have nice graphics, no ads, and no constant badgering to buy IAPs. If you want a vanilla empire builder, this might be it for you.
