Install Master Control: DirecTV Remote app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using Master Control on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Master Control"
The search will reveal the Master Control: DirecTV Remote app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Master Control is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Master Control.
Now enjoy Master Control on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Master Control,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Master Control" » then Click "Install".
- Master Control: DirecTV Remote will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

☹ Cons:

- No tutorial or instructions provided

- Difficult to figure out how to erase favorites

- Top 1/3 of the screen is wasted on a status bar that reads "Not Authorized"

- Confusing why the top 1/3 reads "Not Authorized" when the bottom 2/3 works as the remote.

I downloaded this app because I’m always losing the remote. I did not have high expectations because I have downloaded other apps in the past that do not work but this app automatically detected my cable box & connected right away.
Not Auth?

Top 1/3 of the screen is wasted on a huge status bar that reads Not Authorized. Bottom 2/3's did work as the remote, which is confusing to why the top 1/3 reads not auth'd? Pros- once the app was installed all three receivers appeared (all though...not auth'd) with no log-in needed. I liked that, but I did spend 5 mins looking for a settings or log in menu to clear the Not Auth... clearly I was unsuccessful.

This app will open up to control all receivers on the network. Just pick one of the ones named during initial installation and control it. Swipe left/right to switch between control screens. I can control my receiver and DirecTV receiver with my iPhone.

Wish there was a tutor with this but you get the hang of it after a while. Works smoothly just wish they could tell you how to erase favorites. I thought favs where for channels but it’s actually the show, bummer. Very nice app!
