  • Nice set of tools but expensive

    By Bikrrr (Pcmac user)

Overall the app is well done and offers some useful tools for designers. But $50 is a bit steep for what you get. While it includes 10 different tools, many are being incorporated into modern design apps. The one tool I use regularly, rulers, doesn’t let you measure below 9 pixels. Hard to pay this price for a utility when full-featured design apps like Affinity Designer only costs $40.
  • Super-handy app for designers.

    By troutbum61 (Pcmac user)

the app is simply a great app for designers, photographers, or anyone else doing pixel-perfect work. Like a good color-picker (and one is included in the app's Loupe tool), having a utility to measure dimensions is vital for people working in graphics, or at least it is to me. Now instead of exporting and switching to Photoshop to get dimensions, I just use the app, which has been running quietly in the corner of my iMac since I purchased it. So much cool stuff here. Worth every penny. (And for just 199 more pennies you can get the the app Mirror app for iOS to preview graphics in real time on your iOS device or Apple Watch. I don't even do iOS development and bought it just to play around.) Do make sure though to read the note about Retina displays that Iconfactory provides, since that obvioulsy complicates measuring pixels. the app still works perfectly, but you may need to change a preference depending on your usage.
  • Amazing Functionality

    By JamWils (Pcmac user)

I was skeptical about getting this application, but I am so glad that I did. I just started a new job working for an agency and am working with a lot of PSDs compared to what I used to as a developer. This tool makes it so easy to measure and get the right colors between images and XCode. I recommend that if you are new to the application that you read through their instructions and tutorials provided with the app. You will be up and running quickly and will be able to use the tools to their fullest extent. Great work!
  • Buggy

    By wraithequestrain (Pcmac user)

Update: The new version, 4.1, fixes most of the bugs that were present in the initial release, plus it fixes the "guide not being present in the loupe” regression from the previous version. There are however still a couple of bugs: guides are now 2 pixels wide on Retina screens, while in previous version they were 1 pixel wide. I still prefer 3.0 because it feels more solid and reliable compared to this version. I’ll keep using 3.0 until the 4.2 update. This version has bugs and reduced functionalty, that I’ve reported, that haven’t been fixed since the release. The response I got was "just use the old version." If I should use the old version they why did I pay for it?
