What is UV Index?
The UV Ultraviolet app helps protect users from the risks of uncontrolled exposure to the sun by providing real-time measurements of UV radiation. The app detects the user's location and displays the UV index value, along with recommendations for the level of protection required. The app also displays weather conditions, clothing recommendations, and allows users to save favorite places.
1. The UV Index was developed in order to increase the awareness of the population about the risks of excessive exposure to solar radiation and has been developed in a collaboration between the World Health Organization, the Programme for the Environment of United Nations (UNEP), the World Meteorological Organization and the international Commission on non-ionizing radiation Protection (ICNIRP).
2. UV Ultraviolet helps protect you from UV rays, giving you the level of solar ultraviolet radiation that reaches the Earth's surface at the point where you are.
3. The display will show the name of the location and the value of the UV radiation, indicating also recommendations for the level of protection required.
4. The index values range from zero in on: the higher the value, the greater the potential for damage to the skin and eyes.
5. • English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
6. Make sure you turn on the Location Services on your device and that you are connected to the Internet.
7. Protect yourself from the risks that can result in the uncontrolled exposure to the Sun.
8. At this point the application will detect your geographical location.
