If you want to install and use the Adobe Lightroom CC app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Adobe Lightroom CC in the search bar and press Search. Click on Adobe Lightroom CC application icon. A window of Adobe Lightroom CC on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Don’t need my DSLR 90% of the time

This may be my first product review, but I am very eager to share my experience. Thanks to Lightroom CC, I can shoot beautiful raw photos (in HDR), easily organize them, easily fix/improve them, and automatically upload them to the cloud where they don’t eat up space on my phone. I must say that I feel like about 95% of the time I can tweak photos to look exactly what I am hoping for. A major reason for this is the ability to highlight just a region of the photo and adjust the brightness/color to that region. And it is really nice how how the app also ties fairly seamlessly with other Adobe apps such as the two Photoshop apps. I could go on and on about other features I like and other minor things that just are smart and show Adobe was paying attention to detail. My complaints are few and far between, and I’m sure will get tweaked in future version. For these reasons, I am generally confident 90% of the time just walking around with my iPhone to take pictures rather than my bulky Canon 5D Mark IV. My friends keep asking me what app I am using for taking and editing the pictures. I keep telling them they should get this app.

Load up your photos on your desktop or laptop from a REAL camera or phone. Create a collection in Lightroom, transfer to Photoshop and back to Lightroom. Share entire album within seconds to your contacts. Pretty smooth. Absolutely NOTHING comes close to what PSCC & Lightroom can do. Absolutely love this system. I generally shoot with dslrs and use several features in photoshop that Lightroom can’t duplicate or run. I only have the “save as smart previews only” because the don’t take up much room on the server and I can send the “collections link” to anyone I wish to share. There is a slider to allow the sender to download the smart preview. Most of the senders are family and only view on their phones or tablets. I keep originals(RAW) on portable drives and connects with saved presets from PSCC/Lightroom. This is still my best program for travel and family photos. I still can’t get away from focal lengths, aperatures available and picture quality of a real camera. I print and display my work at the office and my home . There is a difference between cell phone and larger sensor size. Physics still dominates , no way around that yet but, maybe in my lifetime ?
  • Custom/Syncing Lightroom CC Presets

This is a 6/5 star app. It’s beautiful, and so capable. And it’s mobile and you can have your photos everywhere synced. BUT, I’m giving it 4 stars because i really want adobe to give us custom presets. Can we look forward to having our desktop presets synced to our mobile devices. I’ve wanted this for years and I mean I thought that now since we have a grain slider (why the hell did this take years) that they were going to complete the app. This is seriously the only thing holding it back for me personally. And I’d have to imagine there’s devs that want this feature. How has it not hit the app, especially with the CC update. Please I want to love you Lightroom team you guys are teasing me. It’s such a perfect app. Please. I pay for the subscription I’ll make another account and pay for another subscription I’ll buy the feature as an in app purchase for $10 just please. What can I do to convince you guys this is a desired feature I just want a button I can press called save preset. 😢
  • A 2nd camera roll, but better...

With 1-terabyte of storage it's practically unlimited; no need to worry about space ever again. The edit tools are similar to iOS photos, but on steroids. Flag photos: accept/reject/no flag plus a five star rating system. Organize your photos with folders and albums. Tag photos with as many keywords as you want. Easily search and display photos by any of these features. I also love that I can use it on my Mac and iPad too. Plus you get Bridge for your Mac which expands your editing feature list even more. If the monthly fee has you down, just pretend your taking one of the dev team members out for a coffee every month. Well worth it, this app is super amazing and works very well! You can tell it's designed by a team of talented people and not just one guy in his basement. Don't hesitate, get it today, you love it... I guarantee it!!

  • Hands down best mobile app!

I’m a hardcore adobe fan but the software that has been working the best for me out of all the creative cloud platform it’s no doubt the Lightroom mobile, i have spent tons of money on expensive softwares, apps and different hardware stuff trying to get my pictures to the next level but I can’t stop using Lightroom mobile,I love using my iPhone and most of the time I’m flying my drone and like to edit my pictures on the spot right after I’m finished so I don’t know anything else as good or as close to Lightroom mobile, not to mention that once you have done some of the work on the go once you hit the computer it’s synced with your Lightroom desktop version so you can either keep working on the desktop or laydown and keep working on the mobile version on your phone, and the best part for me is that is very convenient to just grab the phone out of the pocket and take a picture instead of using a huge DSLR for a simple picture that sometimes you might not have time to setup the tripod and everything before the subject has moved etc , I like to have a camera for every scenario, GoPro for under water, drone for aerial photography, DSLR for my professional photography and my iPhone photography for quick snaps that I don’t feel like carrying a huge bag full of accessories and for every one of those cameras Lightroom mobile app works well!

I continue to be impressed by the improving functionality being added to this powerful program, using in conjunction with desktop Lightroom CC means I have access to my best captures at all times, and can even edit and export as needed. Can’t wait for Photoshop to join my mobile workflow.

I think this is a great editing app. Love what you can do with it but the issue I have is the $10 a month upgrade. I think it needs to be a one time charge and call it good.

  • Finally Lightroom mobile is getting closer to Desktop experience

    By JohnCorb
Lightroom is really getting better and better! Apple Pencil support makes finally close to the Desktop app experience. Still works fine most of the time, but never works 100% Sometimes export to Camera Roll crashes after you selected 50 photos - never don't know why - and you start selecting from scratch and trying, trying, trying... to export all of them. Sometimes photos appear rotated when you expand them, but look perfectly fine in thumnbnail view or deskeop. Sometimes you cannot sync photos between this app and Lightroom Classic. Sometimes.... You never know what kind of a bug you will face in Lightroom but it always pops up in the middle when you don't expect it. But in any case Lightroom mobile finally got much much better. A way to go! Yay.
