  • Best Privacy App Yet

    By Snap_Chats989 (Pcmac user)

This is simply the best privacy app with everything neatly bundled into it. It has a nice authentication feature, sms & mms messaging & disappearing messages with people [to keep them clean if you’d like], calls, and keeps it all private, app switch privacy [keeping the screen blank for privacy while switching apps so wandering eyes cannot see the screen], and many more features packed into this powerhouse. To anyone experiencing any issues with calls, make sure your notifications are on and properly set with the app, and look into the settings in the app itself and it easily shows how to have your calls show up with the name [if you would like to] or just a call without a name. The settings are a breeze and make it very easy to understand. Very rarely you’ll have to re-register for push notifications, but that’s also very easily accomplished. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. 10 stars out of 5 stars is more like it...
  • Learn it, Love it, Use it. Always.

    By Karther (Pcmac user)

Love this app. Hope it is hear forever. And yes the hardest part is getting people to understand that they should use this over normal ios messaging. Not to mention when they start taxes us like they want for text messaging messages through this app wont count due to it does not use a messaging service. I really wish however that they would upgrade this app to be used by even people that do not have a phone number. I have children and I am not like every other silly parent out their they gives there kid a fricken phone because they think its the newest thing to do. My kids do not take any devices to school. However if they did I would only want them to be able to use email messaging. Other apps use email messaging to send text to a simple email address. I would love to have my kids use this app but they cannot due to they don't have phones. Anyway great app keep it going.
  • Latest update of app doesn’t show attachments

    By dasprague (Pcmac user)

Love the app, and until this last version I would say that all it really needed was a way to assign any custom iPhone alert to an incoming message. The current version gives options, but doesn’t allow you to use any alerts on the phone. That, however, is a customization, so no big deal, but this last version broke the attachments. Now when I attach anything from the this app side or to this app through the phone side, it doesn’t immediately show up. Sometimes you can exit the chat itself and go back in, and sometimes if you shut down the app and reopen they will show, but most of the time I have to wait for a reply for it to show, so I never know if it was sent. I’ve also noticed that it sometimes puts my messages in the wrong order. For instance, I will see the reply above the original message. That, too, eventually fixes itself but it’s very annoying and has only started happening since the newest version was installed.
  • Lose all history every time you change phone

    By Nickfrikinname (Pcmac user)

There is no way to export messages from this app. No history, no media, nothing. There is absolutely no way. There is no backup and restore on iOS. As a result, I and my family members are about to lose years of messages that contain conversations about our young children. This terrible problem has not been fixed despite years of begging by several users on various forums. What's worse, they don't disclose it in the app description, no warnings at the time of install, nothing. This app is an unmitigated disaster for any normal person. I truly regret having migrated my family and my business associates onto this. I mean, I would've happily paid for an app like this to support development. If they made just this feature a paid feature I would have again paid. But instead the developers are adding frivolous features but not this critical usability. If you are a spy, a journalist working in a sensitive situation, an anti government activist or a paranoid conspiracy guy, then this might be acceptable to you. For the rest of us, just stay the heck away and save yourself a lot of grief and loss later.
