3. It is known that some apps keep searching for bluetooth devices all the time, preventing other apps like this one from detecting bluetooth devices.

4. This app needs a bluetooth 4.0 low energy (BLE) or bluetooth smart heart rate sensor in order to work.

5. This will avoid problems with bluetooth device discovery.

6. This app warns you with audio (even in background) when your heart rate goes beyond the limits you set.

7. It will warn you with auditive voice warning even if being in background and/or listening to music.

Exactly what I needed

Works great for me on iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.2 with a Polar H7. Per the instructions this app has to connect to the HR monitor first, and that means making sure Apple Health is not connected to it. After this app is connected I can connect Apple Health and Nike+ Running. This app audibly alerts when my heart rate exceeds the max I set, even when in the background, so I don't have to constantly look at my phone while on a run. Exactly what I needed!
needs fix & haptic touch option

I've been looking for an app just like this which warns you when you are outside your target heart rate zone. Most heart rate apps have predefined zones but this app lets you create your own custom zone, which is great. The major problem for me was that while the iPhone app could finds my Bluetooth heart rate sensor fine, the Apple watch app couldn't find it all. This needs to be fixed urgently. A great enhancement would be if the app could give either an audio warning OR a haptic tap to the apple watch which is more discreet when I'm running outside. I'll give it a modest rating now but will upgrade to 4 star if the problem is solved and 5 star if the enhancement is made.
Needs a lower limit to make it perfect

I was able to connect this app with my wrist heart rate monitor. FWIW - I use a Basis Peak (had to unpair it with Basis app first in order to make the connection). My problem is that the lowest possible heart rate is 50, but my resting heart rate dips into the 40s, so it's constantly alarming. If this could be fixed, this would be a perfect app for my needs. Seems simple... just a tiny software tweak. Is that possible?

I had to close all other apps and turn Bluetooth off then on again, then it connected. Works as advertised.
