Ever since using a professional nutrition program in college I've been trying to find an app or program like this. It is a great tool at keeping track of overall nutrition which is what I was looking for. I was able to find several nutrition gaps in my diet, recognize that I did have the symptoms of deficiency too, and start tweaking the foods I'm eating and taking specific supplements to fill those gaps I simply couldn't fill. It has been a very positive addition to my lifestyle and I've had several of the symptoms, like fatigue and low mood, disappear too. I took off one star for two reasons. It can sometimes be glitchy. I've had it freeze and crash several times while trying to add foods. Usually it starts back up no problem though. And the other reason is they are sometimes lacking in terms of what foods are available to add. They have most American fresh foods and a few snack foods like Cheez its and crackers, but they are lacking in some things that seem they should have considering some of the obscure foods they DO have in there like jackfruit and various little known berries. They don't have some types of fish, like barramundi, and some of the more obscure types of produce available like dragonfruit, but even baby spinach and different varieties of apples or oranges are missing. Overall though, it's a great tool and I can usually find a close enough food to use in place.
  • Has the Potential fro Greatness

I love how simple and thorough this app is. It’s pretty easy to find foods or add your own, and it keeps track of a looot of macronutrients and micronutrients, which is particularly helpful for me as a vegan. However, there’s one very annoying problem with this app... It has this bug where when I use it for a little while, it will stop letting me add foods. I can still look foods up, but when I hit the “Eat” button is gives me an error message saying it can’t connect to network. Once I get this, I can’t seem to ever get this message to go away. It was so annoying I uninstalled the app for a while, but ended up reinstalling it again. Two days later, I’m getting this message again 😡 If just this was fixed about the app, it would be perfect. As it is though, this bug renders the app useless once it starts.
  • Best app I’ve ever purchased!!

    By Marlarogers (Pcmac user)

This app is much needed...and so well thought out!! Any nutrition tracker apps I’ve seen are only for macros (protein, fat, carbs, sugar, etc). But I’m not interested in those....They’re so easy to track on your own anyway. The thing I was looking for was something to show all the micronutrients like vitamins and minerals. And that’s what this app specializes in. This thing is phenomenal. It has a great selection of food when you’re trying to input food into your diary. But the things that blows me away the most is the attention to detail and the user-friendly interface. Any nutrient you are curious about, you can click on and it will bring you to a whole page of information like what it does for your body, what the signs and symptoms are of deficiency and toxicity, what foods are high in said nutrient, etc. And the whole foods like an apple or spinach even go into further detail and you can click on the “tips” tab and they tell how to select them at the store, preparation, cooking, and much more! Bravo guys!! This is truly a fabulous app!! <3
  • Helpful for Vegan

    By Tomboymonkey (Pcmac user)

I started using this to make sure I was getting the nutrition I needed when I started eating vegan. There is currently no way to tell the program that I am a vegan, so I just checked "vegetarian". I like that it tracks my water intake as well – it reminds me to drink. You can set your desired nutrients (for the most part) for each day too. The bugs that I have experienced in the past 2 weeks are pretty minimal: 4 crashes (out of multi-daily use) when trying to chose from user-added foods, and some difficulty with the screen size. I wish I could set the "amount" of a food that I eat regularly when I save it as a favorite (for example: I drink water a cup at a time, but each time I return to the "water" profile I have to change the amount to "1 cup" from the standard "2 cups"). I'd also love it if there was a way to see the log of food eaten in a way that also showed when it was eaten, though that's a pretty minor improvement. Great app though! It's been working super well for me overall.
