Not up to date
By Gilles007 (Pcmac user)
I purchased this app in a moment of weakness back in the dats of El Capitan (you can do the same thing with diff in recursive mode for free at the command line) but the developer is not maintaining the app properly. With High Sierra, it will show differences everywhere when two directories are in fact similar and even fails to get basic file information (shows 0 bytes file size for all files). It was fun back when it worked (although it was already over priced) and should be taken down from the app store since it no longer works correctly. This really makes me think twice now when buying simple utilities from individual developers who offer no guarantee to keep their app up to date.

UPDATED: Troubling UX
By JREmrys (Pcmac user)
One extra star for a cool, simple app...in theory. It sure would beat scrolling through the results of a diff -qr.
It was working, and I clicked on the little arrow to open a file location in the Finder. The app hung. I forced-quit the app, then tried to restart it. Now it hangs at start-up.
UPDATE: Okay, I’ll chalk all that up to the flaky unsupported writeable-NTFS driver. But now the app starts up but refuses to look at anything for me. It’s as though it restarts or continues the last failing scan every time it’s restarted. I can’t keep rebooting my laptop every time I need to run the app. That’s the reason I switched from Windows! ;-)

No help anywhere
By DJBearOH (Pcmac user)
I, too, am having the same problem that most people are having. First, there’s no help page to indicate what the colors mean when a line is highlighted with a color and second, there is no support for the app any longer. It would be a GREAT app if the developer would keep it updated and offer ANY kind of page (or in the app itself) to explain what the colors mean. Since this is not happening, I would recommend to stay away from this app. I really need to start reading the reviews more closely. LOL
My apologies to whoever developed it. This review would be much better if only you’d update and add a help function for the app. Fix these things and I will change my rating.

Goo, Bad and Ugly
By Doug183 (Pcmac user)
Good
1) Apps really fills a void and quickly let allows the user to the app large folders.
2) Free
3) Works reliably
Bad
1) Just re-donwloaded the ap. Dark mode is impossilbe to read. My older version of this app had the 'light' version. Any way to rever?
Ugly
1) No manual/help for the colors. However if you have differences, then select that file, you can see wha the difference is in the file. Then work backward to figure out the color difference.
2) If you want to check a few different folders, basically, quit the program and reopen between each use. Otherwise, after you un one the app, then pick another folder (left or right) the program tries to the app two complete different folder.
