  • Sorry but this app won't do with its limitations

    By TreborG2 (Pcmac user)

Obviously it looks like what many would expect from a standard file manager, left pane gets a tree hierarchy right pane shows you what's in the selected folder. The first place this app goes wrong, is from the limitation of Apple (wrong as it is) to block people from the root folder. As an app, it should be allowed to offer the option and with full warning to the user. Second and even worse issue, is that it currently expects everyone to be using the default white background as you have out of the box. Those who choose the "dark theme" apple so "graciously allows" will find the program completely unusable. The program does not currently adapt to the color scheme in use, so when using the "dark" theme the program doesn't kern color and highlight properly meaning you get barely visible text in any area of the program. The options pane appears to have only one or 2 areas that work, I have screen shots if the Dev would like to see them, since I noted in another review they couldn't "reproduce the problem" Its a great idea.. but it fails from being inside the app store from apple, and also because of the theme coloring issue.
  • Sorry, too much trouble

    By Iquittoo (Pcmac user)

Didn’t give this app much time. Other file managers that I have tried didn’t require you to expand the sandbox. Then when I expanded the sandbox, it wouldn’t let me select a hard drive. You can only expand the sandbox on folders, not hard drives. Still looking for a Windows Explorer style file manager. Finder is the only Mac tool that really takes a back seat to what Windows offers.
  • Big improvement over Finder

    By Tanked Ninja (Pcmac user)

The app is very the app to use, intuitive, it does what is supposed to do. It works much like Windows Explorer, which in my opinion is an improvement over Finder. I like the right click menus. Very simple, straightforward, no unecessary bells and whistles...
  • The "sandbox” makes it worthless to a developer

    By B110598M1092 (Pcmac user)

I need access to many folders off the root of the system, and this app won’t allow it. I suspect its an Apple restriction, but as a software developer I need to be able to access my full computer, not just my home drive.
