Download and install the activeCollab Classic app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using activeCollab Classic on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "activeCollab Classic"
- The search will reveal the activeCollab Classic app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once activeCollab Classic is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including activeCollab Classic.
- Now enjoy activeCollab Classic on PC.

- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing activeCollab Classic:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "activeCollab Classic" » Click "Install" to install activeCollab Classic
- activeCollab Classic will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Locks up and crashes while syncing

I am using the self hosted version, which is up to date. Locked up while syncing companies, crash, reopen, locked up while syncing users, crash, reopen, locked up while syncing projects, crash, reopen. Never made it past syncing projects. Also can’t find any documentation at all about any preparations that need to be made on the server side of things for this to work. And yes, I tried disabling the one third party module that we use. Same issues. The snyc process also seems to fail immediately if I go to home screen or let the phone go to sleep. Also just found out you guys shut down the forum we’ve all been using for years which is frustrating. All of this is frustrating. Please don’t ignore your faithful self-hosted users because many of us can’t switch to cloud even if we wanted to.

Crash, crash..... Crash

This thing crashes after I put my password in 100% of the time. Really annoying. It was such a quality app before iOS 9 came. Does the app not have developers that test the functionality before a general release... Christ.

It's certainly better than the last version however it really needs to use the native iPhone notification system. It will sometimes add a number to the icon. But I never get actual notifications as pop ups or in my Notification Center. Also the red bubble notification doesn't always work. Sometimes I'll get them but will be hours later. If it wasn't for the email notifications I would be very late getting back to the business's I work with.
With this app being designed to manage projects at a professional level it's very important it's notifications work more than anything.
One other thing is it doesn't support the 6+ fully. It should have a landscape view and the text needs to be smaller I feel. Or at least an option to show more.
All of this aside I still prefer the dedicated app to the browser version.
Will revise my review next update. Thanks!
