Good for overall practice of a variety of mathematical concepts, including patterns, adding and subtracting sums, ordering of numbers from largest to smallest, odds and evens etc. The app uses positive feedback, and as you play you earn rewards, which keeps my son motivated. He was confused by a few of the terms used- they use terminology in their instructions, such as "Find the greatest sum". I just gave him a short explanation, and we were able to move on. I love how everything is narrated; this is great for struggling readers. I know my son has seen this vocabulary on his math homework, so I am glad to know with the verbal prompt he is finally paying attention to the meaning of the instructions instead of glossing over them. ( I would like an option to tap the instructions to hear them- for when we get interrupted and he misses them read aloud). I My first grader asked me what even and odd numbers are while playing with this app too, and is now ready to grasp this concept. I like how you can shut off the cute train themed music if it is a distraction for some kids. And finally there is a progress tracker, where you can see what areas your child needs improvement in. There are parental gates to access Settings, Progress Tracking and Other Apps/Social Media links- I appreciate that.
