How to download and install Google Play Movies & TV on your Laptop or Desktop computer

3 Rating: 3 - 1,952 votes

If you want to install and use the Google Play Movies & TV app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Google Play Movies & TV for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Google Play Movies & TV for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Google Play Movies & TV in the search bar and press Search. Click on Google Play Movies & TV application icon. A window of Google Play Movies & TV on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Google Play Movies & TV icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Google Play Movies & TV for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Google Play Movies & TV for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Better than any other website

  • Don’t bother

    By _minty999
After buying a 30 min episode - I have spent almost 2 hours trying to get it to work. Following all of the ‘trouble shooting’ through pages and pages of instructions. Being so frustrated with it in the end, I decided to get a refund and was presented with a further list of instructions that is so over the top, I won’t even bother. Which is probably the whole point- so they get to keep the money because they have zero customer support and pages of instructions designed to make you give up on it.
  • Do not get this app

    By SavageTurtle21
Do not get this app it is a waste of storage you can watch no movies at all and it is really bad this why I rated it 1 star
  • Stupid

    By Jeff Kurtz
This is so idiotic and petty. Why can’t I buy a movie from Google on an Apple device. Frustrating.
  • Difficult to download

    By Symph synth
Takes at least an hour to download a movie regardless of internet speed. This problem occurs on multiple devices both iOS and Android. I have tried dozens of different WiFi connections as well ......including the local library and coffee shops. This occurs even when other files of similar size download in a couple of minutes. It will download a few mb then it will just stop and wait ten minutes then a few more mb. Please fix this as I would love to watch the movies I purchased off line. I have tried opening and closing the app...refreshing...rebooting...reconnecting nothing is really quite annoying.

  • Cannot use it the way it’s intended

You cannot rent within the app. You can’t rent within the app. You can’t rent within the app. What kind of ridiculous sense does that even make?
  • The app has no movies to play on iso

    By psbjr123456
Do not get this app if you have apple iPhones I checked every movie and it said not available on iso!
  • Needs an Update

    By anthro_chick
It’s been a month since the app has updated and I can tell it needs one. Trying to stream movies through ChromeCast, a Google product, it either doesn’t load or buffers every 15 seconds ( no exaggeration here) while playing. It’s time for an update, Google!
  • iPhone X aspect ratio?

    By tigercranestyle
Still no update for the iPhone X and it’s getting close to a year that it was released.
