Not What I Hoped

I never write reviews, but I am making an exception here. If you are looking for yet another competitor to Procreate, then this is your app. It’ filled with all the window switching gadgets to define your chosen tool and more. That said, if you are a visual artist used to the real tools of charcoal, watercolor, oils etc. and you’re looking to use those on your iPad, the old this app Pro Edition was the best on the market to give you complete but simple digital the app tools. When I heard they were updating this app Pro my only need for improvement was that they would allow the user to arrange their work in the gallery according to date or what ever the user decided. Right now it’s a hodge-podge with no apparent user organizing available. I tried contacting the developer but they did not reply. I purchased the additional 9.99 needed to unlock all the features in this brand new edition. My disappointment continued, the papers available are no where near as creative or real, and it continues to become more complicated with more choices. Lastly, the presentation is no longer a cool artist’s the app box but rather the same cold modern look of any graphic design software. LOFOPI, please don’t ever remove your old this app Pro Edition. It serves a community based in old school the app and is irreplaceable. Maybe just consider a way to organize the gallery, maybe dragging the images to a desired place.
Split Screen capability with the iPad

Just addressing an older review that laments the lack of split screen capability with this app. I discovered that the iPad itself has split screen capability that you can use with this app. When in the app, grab the photo app (or whichever you choose) from the dock and swipe it over to the side. You can easily swipe the reference pic in and out as needed. As a beginning painter, I do love this app because I can make all my mistakes digitally before putting brush to canvas. Also really love the oil paints in here; I get that “the app store happy place” feeling when contemplating the oil paints available. The brushes handle well. Very happy with this app. For the future, limited layer functionality would be helpful.
From One Star to FIVE Stars!

I had previously send the following and had given a poor rating: "I had the free app, and really loved this, so I upgraded to the paid version. I enjoyed it a lot until recently, and it has been crashing a LOT, causing me to lose some of my work! I wish someone would fix this — especially for those of us who PAID for this app! It has been my favorite the app app until now, and I don't want to switch! PLEASE fix the glitches or refund my money! 😡" I emailed support, and heard from them immediately. Here's part of the email communication, and it fixed the glitch I was having: "Hi Chela, many thanks for purchasing this app - Pro Edition. We are sorry to hear that you are having problems opening the App. Very rarely there can be an issue where the last work you were working on can become corrupted , please go to your iPad’s Settings scroll down to 'this app' and turn on the switch ‘Reset Recent’. This should clear the problem when you next launch and all your work except the last one should be there. Kindest Regards, LOFOPI support"
Needs much more attention from developers

Looking over your very far spread-out updates and the fact that between all the "HeadsUp Time" and the months that have now passed since iOS 9 has been released it leads us users to believe that developers of this app are not "On The Ball" when it comes to being concerned with giving the user the best possible user experience. These types of developers REALLY CONCERN ME! Especially when a PREMIUM PRICE is charged to download their app! I hope that the developers of this app take this app SERIOUSLY in the future and READ CURRENT REVIEWS ON A REGULAR BASIS and also pay attention to the amount of downloads (or lack of) in the near future to make AND KEEP the app running at optimum capacity at ALL TIMES! Not playing catch-up over a year later!
