What is Jacoti ListenApp? Jacoti ListenApp is a software-based hearing aid that can be configured by taking a test with Jacoti Hearing Center or by entering a recent audiogram. It enhances sound to compensate for individual hearing difficulties and is separately FDA listed as a Class I Medical Device in the U.S. and complies with the CE requirements for medical devices (CE 2797) in Europe. The app processes sound around the user and helps them cope with difficult listening situations without tiring them with too much amplification. It also processes sound from the user's local music library and from Jacoti Lola, Jacoti's assistive listening system.

Software Features and Description

1. The intended use of Jacoti ListenApp is to amplify and transmit sound to the ear and hereby compensate for impaired hearing.

2. Jacoti ListenApp is tested and approved in compliance with the most rigorous medical and technical standards for hearing aids.

3. "I have been advised by Jacoti BV that the Food and Drug Administration has determined that my best health interest would be served if I had a medical evaluation by a licensed physician (preferably a physician who specializes in diseases of the ear) before purchasing a hearing aid.

4. It can be configured by taking a test with Jacoti Hearing Center or by entering a recent audiogram and enhances sound to compensate for your individual hearing difficulties.

5. Jacoti ListenApp also processes sound coming from your local music library and from Jacoti Lola, Jacoti's assistive listening system.

6. Jacoti ListenApp processes the sound around you and helps you to cope with difficult listening situations without tiring you with too much amplification.

7. Jacoti ListenApp is separately FDA listed as a Class I Medical Device in the U.S. and complies with the CE requirements for medical devices (CE 2797) in Europe.

8. Jacoti ListenApp is indicated for mild to moderate hearing losses.

9. Jacoti ListenApp requires you to register with a valid email account on earCloud® ( ), which allows you to share your audio profile across devices.

I’ve tried everything. Rebooted the phone, software up-to-date, deleted the app reinstalled, nothing. Proper email and password, but iPhone screen goes black, app is closed.
Couldn’t get it started.

Hearing test froze on the first page. I asked for support I received your knowledge meant of my request. However I have yet to receive any support. I deleted the app.
Mild to moderate hearing loss

I have mild to moderate hearing loss--there are a few spots in the top of my range I cannot hear. This isn't usually a problem, but a large portion of one of my daughters' voice range is in the area of my loss. I put in the ear buds and had her cover her mouth. I could hear everything she said, unless she was whispering VERY quietly, then I could only hear half of her words. The downside: One was, I had to listen to my own amplified voice. I'm guessing that is a downside of all hearing helps. The other downside was that it made a very high pitched squeal (like a real hearing aid, according to my husband). The squeal was annoying to my daughter; when turned down it wasn't too bad, but I couldn't hear quite as well. The interface was easy to use--I typed in the information from a recent doctor visit and I was pleased with how simple it was to get started. I don't have other aids to compare it to, but I think it's a great place to start--like buying reading glasses at the dollar store. Bottom line: I give it five stars because it's free and it works quite well for discerning speech. I'm guessing the app will improve over time, but I'm pleased that conversations with my daughter are now back in good form.

This is a well thought out app and the hearing test was quite accurate against my professionally done one. I actually find hearing better than my seven year old hearing aids which cost a total of $5K !!! Support responded in one day about using with mic other than on earpods. If you use ear buds that dont have a mic, the iphone mic becomes active and you use in noisy restaurant by moving phone across the table. Simple and easy to use. Very clean sound. Kudos!
