Install KWWL app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using KWWL on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "KWWL"
- The search will reveal the KWWL app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once KWWL is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including KWWL.
- Now enjoy KWWL on PC.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use KWWL,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "KWWL" » then Click "Install".
- KWWL will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Love this app for news and weather! It’s my go to for information. However, I would suggest using black for the lettering on the blue backgrounds. It is difficult to read the white on the light blue background. Needs more contrast. Either darker letters or darker background. Having both light means you have to enlarge the screen to read and some screens don’t enlarge. Please consider changing this minor detail. Thanks for your excellent reporting.

Wrong notifications

I have had both the news and weather apps for years. No problems. All of a sudden about 3 weeks ago I started getting all the weather push notifications for Cedar Rapids (lightening has been detected in your area) but not really my area. I’m in Waterloo- always have been. I’ve tried everything I could think of to correct that- settings- allow location etc. nothing worked. Now it’s just frustrating. So frustrating I am ready to delete the apps.

App is Fine / Ad Notifications Annoying

The app itself works fine for the most part however the alerts/notifications are super annoying. Most of them are not breaking news and several in the morning are advertising for what they’re showing on the news.
The Notifcations should be broken down for ads, informational/sports, and breaking news to allow allow those who don’t care about what’s on Today In Iowa for example at 6:05 AM to turn off select notifications.

Do not update

I had this updated and now I can't get anything, come to find out they upgraded the ISO from 7.0 to now iSO to 10 to use it and no link to download older version.
It's bad enough we lost the channel for awhile, But now can't even use this program.
