  • Improve

    By Premier Irrigation (Pcmac user)

Don't get me wrong , love Hunter as well as the this app system. I have 3 complaints as a contractor. One being that the App is not very intuitive or user friendly for the homeowner, have had homeowners very confused as of how to make changes. Second, the system needs to be cloud based like the irrigation controllers. Reason being is if the contractor or the homeowner has very bad wifi and many lights to assign, it takes forever as you spend most of your time waiting to connect to wifi, especially if you have lights far away from the transformer(s) and or house where the wifi is located. Next, if the system was cloud based, the contractor could make changes to the system, groups or themes for the homeowner without making a visit to the property or if the client is having trouble with programming. Third, there should be away to change the programs or settings, such as times and events of the system. But this app is cool as well as Hunters FX lighting system. I wouldn't use any other system as FX fixtures are very well made compared to competitors.
  • Hire a UX designer

This app defies so many conventions for UX that I’m surprised Apple approved it. The way you set programs to turn on, and then a separate one to turn off makes no sense. There is huge overlap in functionality, and then a universal one/off switch not tied to anything (what does it turn on, why is it the button to turn things on when I’ve just turned it on in the themes section). Honestly, this app feels like you’ve hired an intern, or you’ve got an engineer who think they know design. Could so easily be improved by just adhering to the Apple OS guidelines.
  • Very Enjoyable!

By LJ and TJ (Pcmac user)

Having the ability to schedule holiday events by calendar dates is an awesome feature that allows us to pre-program without having to physically change lenses which has always been a hassle. The overall absolute best feature I have say is the ability to dim the lights throughout the evening without having to touch a thing. We have our every day program that starts at sunset with the lights operating in a warm white at 100%, then it automatically dims down to 75% and WoW what a difference...so relaxing! The stress just rolls right off. If you have ever had landscape lighting before and have enjoyed the comforts, I highly recommend this system!
  • Close but not quite

    By CraAdo (Pcmac user)

This is by far the slowest app I have ever used. I really like a lot of things about the app when it’s functioning at a reasonable speed but I’m trying to control hundreds of lights over five different transformers and one transformer can take over an hour to program one theme into when trying to use the app. For me this app would work so much better if there were three improvements: app speed because it’s currently awful, an easy way to copy and paste one theme and schedule to all the transformers instead of doing the entire process 5 times, and if there were a way to schedule out the entire year or even just half of the year that would be a major weight off of my shoulders but currently it only supports a handful of scheduling slots.
