  • Detective, huh?

    By EasterEasySundae (Pcmac user)

Honestly, I've watched my fair share of detective shows, and this is nothing like that. Sure, you can go to crime scenes and such, but who wants to look for things you don't really need? We should be dusting for fingerprints and doing blood samples, not waiting for 'Detective David' to do all the forensics for me. What if I like doing the forensics? And to add, what is the deal with the stars and lightning bolts and gems? What are they meant for other than to make you really annoyed that you can't investigate a crime scene without getting stars or gems from another crime scene that your not allowed to go back to? It's confusing and annoying, and you really don't get the true detective. Who puts someone under arrest for murder without a confession? To top it all off, this is not a true detective game. It might have four and a half stars, but I really don't like it. I'm sorry I have to be this way, but forensics is kind of my thing. I know what real detectives do, and this is not it. This was a disappointment. You might have a blast at it, but I personally (and yes I'll be honest) do not have the patience to wait for my forensics report to come back. I WANT to do the forensics myself. It was just be more engaging.
  • Love, but quick sessions not enough energy

    By Amelia-a (Pcmac user)

Please read at least last sentence! You won't live out your dream of becoming a crime fighter or detective. Yes you look for clues, but the game basically rules you out! It takes days/weeks to get stars which take you to other clues (pictures they give you to find) and its more of a fantasy type genre. You at least have to score over a million points for each session to reach 6-7 million for complete star, when you run out of energy you can buy more (roll eyes) or wait sometimes for days and days. Once you do finish a game, you can wait up to 4 days to let them let you start a new one, however it is fun and you do get hooked! I decided to just spend 30 bucks on the game and still still couldn't get a star, getting very frustrated to say the least. I know there are other fun games that don't take this much time, energy, or money. Basically the game ends in less than 2 min & then u wait for more energy to spend another 2 min!
  • Fun but glitches remain...

    By KnowNothing14 (Pcmac user)

I actually like that it makes me wait to play for the energy to refill. That way it limits how much time I spend playing it. I agree that the gems should rebuild or you should be able to earn them- say 20 for a solved game or 1 for getting all this app in a scene in less than say, 20 seconds. It's nice to have an energy recharge after a conquered game, but gems would be better. Every so often it "hangs" and makes you replay for a star or it starts rebooting during a challenge. That uses up your time loses a possible "win". I like that the scenes during Challenges are no longer completely random scenes but from games already played. Plus why have the Challenge start at 4AM? Do you really think I'm going to get up then just to play this game? This version is better, but still needs some work. Please make this more compatible with iOS 8.
  • I like, but....

    By Vida B. (Pcmac user)

I didn't know about the gems until I'd used too many for the rest to matter. I don't like the fact that I've got to buy more, that they're unlike the energy which can reload on their own. Gaining stars was weird too, as I don't know how you choose how many points til the next star is needed...guess there's not much I can do about that...and why does it take so long to review items? I thought you wanted people to continue playing; if I don't have gems to speed it along and have to come back 2+ hours later, even though I receive notifications, it does not mean I'm coming back to play for 5 more minutes before I have to wait another hour for energy to load or two hours to review and item. Work on those things (and not having a 'rate me' box pop up every time I open it) and you could get 5 stars from me. There's also too many glitches. I come back and have to replay a star, or regain a star sometimes. One scene made me use up a turn to gain points towards a star that I'd already gained.
