Download and install the PowerTap Mobile app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using PowerTap on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "PowerTap"
- The search will reveal the PowerTap Mobile app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once PowerTap is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including PowerTap.
- Now enjoy PowerTap on PC.
- Using PowerTap on Mac OS:
Install PowerTap Mobile on your Mac using the same steps for Windows OS above.
How to download and use PowerTap App on Windows 11
To get PowerTap on Windows 11, check if there's a native PowerTap Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing PowerTap:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "PowerTap" » Click "Install" to install PowerTap Mobile
- PowerTap Mobile will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Use this with Zwift. Works Great.

I am a avid Zwfter. When I travel I can go up to any bike in the Gym and hook up with Zwift using this heart monitor. It simulates both heart beat and power. Then I use either a IPad or iPhone for the screen. While it is not as good as what I have at home, it still allows me to compete on Zwift. Great Product.
I only use this for Zwifting. Ride on.

No Strava Sync or GPX Download

I understand that this app wants to start their own cloud services, but their services are not comparable and doesn’t have the competitive features to Strava.
I have a Garmin so I really didn’t need the App to record my data. But my Garmin died, and while waiting for my new computer, I used the app. Hugely disappointing I “lost” a long ride because this app doesn’t sync with Strava or allow GPX download.
Dear this app, stick with your power meters, you, Garmin, Polar, etc already lost the cycling cloud battle. Support the Strava.

No Strava connection

I like the data summary, charts, tracking etc. aI want to use this with Strava as my single point catalogue of activity, but the app won’t sync up. I get an error before I can enter info. Challenging for sure. This should be a straightforward fix.

Good app, but...

Hey guys, good work on the app, but I'm still not able to update the firmware via BT on my new cap. Keep getting the "Could not connect to the firmware server," despite being connected to either wifi or LTE.
