  • Great app

    By Amdubois356 (Pcmac user)

This is a great app. Though I was on the fence about paying 8.99. If this app was 4.99 and then bundled with there Lisgo for the 8.99 I would have bought it a long time ago. There are some fluidity issues that need to get smoothed out with the speech. That been said it is still a great app. I use it every morning on the train ride to work to listen to technical books on my iPhone which trying to read is near in posable, but this app makes it enjoyable ride to work.
  • Does What It Says

    By Relax-ImADoctor (Pcmac user)

After 6 years of my wife and I trying to have our first child, we were blessed with a baby boy in early 2014, which inspired me to write a children's book in honor of my anticipation. After finishing the first draft, I was anxious to hear my hard work read to further critique and edit, as needed. There are very few apps that I've downloaded and/or purchased have actually performed/provided the features and functionality that is described and detailed for which I sought them. This app does exactly what it says, very user-friendly, and I have yet to experience any bugs or flaws. AND, this was all with the "FREE" version, which convinced me to just now purchase the FULL version for $8.99. I have yet to use the "PAID" version, but I will write definitely write another review if there are any flaws I experience, however, based on the "FREE" version, I doubt I'll be disappointed!
  • Potential, Maybe?

    By asbias (Pcmac user)

For me this app was not usable. When ever I downloaded a text file that file text would be altered. The transfer would not recognize quote marks and would instead interpret them into something else. Instead of reading through quote marks it would say "I circumspect" or at least that's what it sounded like it was saying. This issue obviously made this app unusable for me. The other issue I had with this app was that in an attempt to get you to purchase the full version, it limits you to such a degree that you have no idea if the purchase version is any good or not. The reading voice is okay and if it is slowed down very far, it is much more tolerable. But I can't tell whether there are many options on the paid version to improve the voice. The free version limits the amount of time you can use it in the day. At the time of my download of the free version that limit was 15 minutes. In my mind it would make more sense if it was limited to 15 minutes but gave you full access to the options of the program so you can decide if it is worth the purchase price.
  • iOS 9 problem

    By MicroChipMan (Pcmac user)

I use the speaking option on my iPad quite regularly to listen to books and other items I need to read that are lengthy, since the iOS nine update, which I think is great because Apple really tries hard to keep things secure an up-to-date, there's just a problem with the speed of the voice, and I can't slow it down it's on high speed all the time. So in looking for an alternative way to listen to things I have to listen to, this app with cut-and-paste has help me to do that while the problem with iOS nine is getting worked out. I have to underline or highlight the answers to many questions in articles I read and cannot do that with this app but is still very helpful at this crucial time, great app!
