  • Preva is a joke

    By A Marketsmith (Pcmac user)

Purchased a TRM 445 Treadmill new. In six months Precor has had to replace the control head twice and the heart strap once. Now that sounds bad, but actually that is the good thing. Precor and the distributors were quick to address and fix those technical issues. What is not so good, actually in all fairness I can say what is terrible is Precor's this app app. The issues are to numerous to go into here, but I will say the compatibility with the 445 is bad. I have talked with the local retailer, he has talked with his area rep, and I have spoken directly with Precors support. Bottom line is they recognize the problems and address them as a bug with no timeline as to when they will be corrected. Speaking of that the two support personnel I spoke with said they had never even heard of any software fix or update in their history with Precor. So with that, if Precor can not fix there software you probably should not trust their hardware either. Very Disappointing! Did I mention this app does not record averages and most importantly doesn’t record to keep a history of heart rate date. Isn’t this one of he most important reasons to exercise in the first place?
  • Outdated and a joke of an app

    By feldus (Pcmac user)

I was excited to see that my local Y just replaced the old elypticals and bikes with new Precor models. I was hoping that they would be GymKit enabled or at the very least have a way of integrating with the Apple Health app. Instead, I’m stuck with this totally outdated, closed garden app that hasn’t been updated in over 3 and a half years. The this app website is complete useless and only allows you to change account details, so if you want to track your workouts you are stuck with this joke of an app or nothing. Despite all of this, Precor is still pushing this app as if it is cutting edge when it is, in reality, outdated tech that is completely out of touch with current state of the market. Precor needs to either completely rewrite this app or open up their data so users can import it into useable, useful apps. Please get with it Precor.
  • Integrate IOS Health

    By Ebeard (Pcmac user)

This app shows data you have logged on Precor machines. I wish this app would allow you to login automatically like their rfid reader does. The app has awkward navigation at the top of the screen. The biggest failure is the lack of integration with IOS health app. Why? Isn't this the whole point of having this app on an apple platform? Precor please change the goals to not just double after satisfying each level. 250 to 500? Really? Jesus Christ it took me months and now I have to wait months more? Not exactly positive feedback. I love the AMT machine but please get your act together on design motivation research when customers achieve goals.
  • Close to 1 star

Really it should be one. It's fine if all you do is use the machines at your gym and they're all precore and work with this app. Otherwise, it's garbage. Yeah you can manually enter, but if you don't do it THAT DAY it won't allow you to. Ran Friday, rode your bike Saturday, want to input it when you think about it Monday? Nope. Also if you manually enter in error you cannot edit. So ultimately, if you want it to do more than track what you did on a precore machine, you better be extremely diligent and constantly in the app. Not realistic. Also not realistic to assume someone would only use cardio machines. Working out in the real world when you can is better and the interface for recording that toward your goal here is virtually useless. Big failure which really is not a big thing to ask- 1000 free apps out there do this and work better. Try again.
