Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Overwhelming for someone new

    By Antilabel13 (Pcmac user)

The videos look really nice and I’m sure instruction is top tier. You can filter by difficulty but there is an overwhelming amount of material here for someone new to this realm of exercise. I don’t really know where to begin, where to go next, where I need more work. It would be great if there was a “suggested learning path” in the series or something that gave good suggestions on where to start for beginners and then where to go from there. It would be helpful to have “suggested videos/classes” based on where you are at and where you want to get to. Everything looks great but there is just too many options and I feel intimidated and overwhelmed. Maybe there could be a survey type feature where you can say your level of experience, lay out any injuries or anything so you avoid say handstands and stuff if you have a shoulder problem, time of day you are most likely to do the workout so you aren’t being suggested to do morning yoga if you are more likely to workout at night. Then it could suggest the best courses/classes for you and help you build a comprehensive “my practice” profile.
  • Great Yoga & Fitness App

By The Imperfect Yogi (Pcmac user)

I've been using AloMoves (prior CodyApp) over 2 years and it's fantastic! It provides some of the best yoga (and other fitness) classes available. You get to practice with talented yoga teachers like Briohny Smyth, Ana Forrest, Sri Dharma Mittra, Eoin Finn, Janet Stone and more. You get inversion classes from Dylan Werner and others. There's an option to connect with the other users there. And lots of other great features. One of my FAVORITE things is you can also access classes via desktop/laptop so you get the big screen. And you can download classes on your phone for times you are traveling. They are continually adding features/ improvements and so there were just a couple of days it was hard to sign in (as one reviewer mentioned). But that was quickly fixed and has not happened since. For me they have always been very responsive when I need help. Highly recommended!
  • I never leave reviews

    By Boxane (Pcmac user)

I have used a lot of online exercise classes, health apps, workout videos etc. I live 1 hour from the closest rural town and my options are limited. I am a certified Ashtanga teacher and enjoy my personal practice but I want more. This is hands down the best app I’ve ever used. The sound and video quality is great I have thoroughly enjoyed almost every teacher I’ve tried a class from. The videos aren’t cheesy, their rating of difficulty seems accurate and they offer so much variety. I’m so stoked I downloaded this. I did it because I’ve always wanted to take a class from Erin Kelly but live super far from her so i took her core strengthening class and it was great she’s super funny and an excellent teacher. From there I tried yin classes HIIT classes and more yoga. I’m thrilled.
  • Missing Stats!

    By maggieinthewoods (Pcmac user)

Really disappointed that the stat summary has disappeared with this update. Appreciated the ability to see things by month and week and average number of workouts. Have been using this app to track my workouts for three years and that was one of the best features. No calendar view anymore?? Please don’t sacrifice the finer details for the shiny new videos. Update: The developers brought back the calendar view and all of my stats came back with it. Thank you for giving me my data back and for being so communicative and helpful about it. When I have time, I will certainly check out some of the videos that are now being offered.
