1. After the countdown is completed a sound will be played and an alert will be shown and brought in front (even if you're using multiple spaces/desktops).
2. Select the number of minutes and seconds for the timer and press Start.
3. The new version also allows you to choose your own song/sound to be played.
4. If you miss the alert, the app will remind you every 15 seconds until you close it.

Easy to use

App is simple to use. Select the minutes you want and it’ll alert you when the timer is up. Nothing overly complicated.
App remembers the last time you used, so upon starting the app it will have the last time you set ready to go.
Very nice application and the artwork of the icon is superb.

Exactly what I needed

This does exactly what it says it does and nothing more. Perfect. I really needed the visual indicator because I have my Mac's sound turned off at work, where I needed this timer, and the notification popped on top of what I was working on. Green teas require short seeps and if you let it brew too long it loses it's subtlies. Now I won't forget to remove the tea leaves! Thanks. Well worth the $0.99.

This version allows no preset values. It also does not play the default sound. It can’t use AIFF sounds.

visual indicator is key

Like another reviewer - I need a visual prompt as I keep my computer muted at work. The popup dialog is great. The visable countdown is important too. I use this to time block at work so I check how I am doing sometimes.
My only request would be if I could choose the sounds for when I do want one. I use a different app for those times.
