1. Application name change: in order to avoid confusion with our latest application, “BlackVue C”, we decided to rename the “BlackVue” app “BlackVue Legacy”.

2. To enjoy the latest features and updates, please download the new BlackVue app.

3. *Watch live BlackVue video (only for models with Wi-Fi).

4. Although the BlackVue Legacy app will be left available for download, it will no longer be actively supported.

5. ▶Available features depend on the BlackVue dashcam model you use.

6. The new BlackVue app supports all Wi-Fi-enabled BlackVue models to date.

7. Meanwhile, the “BlackVue C” app becomes “BlackVue”.

Install BlackVue Legacy app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using BlackVue Legacy on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "BlackVue Legacy"
The search will reveal the BlackVue Legacy app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once BlackVue Legacy is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including BlackVue Legacy.
Now enjoy BlackVue Legacy on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use BlackVue Legacy,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "BlackVue Legacy" » then Click "Install".
- BlackVue Legacy will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

They no longer support the old (this) app and will not support the older model cameras with the new app... Bad form gentlemen. I will not be purchasing a newer model from you and I will not be recommending your product anymore.
You renamed your apps to PREVENT confusion?

You are causing confusion by trying to prevent it! The app I had WAS "the app" you rename it "this app" but say we should be using and app called "the app" that doesn't seem to even be available on the App Store.
Incomplete software & app

Desktop software doesn't work at all since update. Neither does iPhone app. It won't connect to play over wifi despite my phone pairing with the the app wifi. Camera itself is not working consistently either. It stopped recording approximately 2 days ago for no reason---missed critical video of an assault we drove past tonight. Police needed more details, but we had no video to review. Despite updating timezone on the app before it quit working, it still is not accurate on recordings. The desktop software only gives a few timezones to choose from--none are in the US. GPS is far off too. Occasionally it puts me in the correct US state, but often it shows me in Canada! It has never shown my actually driving locations. Date is 2 days off. I have swapped out memory cards with no improvement. Now it's recording in a format I can't even open in Quicktime. Before I could at least open the files in Quicktime when the the app viewer software wasn't functioning for playback. not very happy with the product right now. It looks good but doesn't actually function.
From Junk to Good, it does work

Lack of clear instructions resulted in an initial review rating of Junk. Connecting to the camera is like connecting to any public WiFi hotspot. At home, right next to my router, the connection to the camera was unreliable - only worked once. Once in the car, with the camera being the only WiFi nearby, it connected instantly. At this point, the rest of the app works nicely. The downside is that the phone doesn't know it's a camera (and not the internet) so it tries to use the WiFi connection for everything else. Don't know if there's someone to blame or that's just a side effect of the design. Not a big deal though because you typically don't need the WiFi connection all the time. Just when you want to watch recorded video, live pictures to adjust the view, or to tweak camera settings.
