1. Terraform will take you on a journey you wouldn't believe possible, accompanied by your ship's virtual co-pilot issuing voice prompts (with a slightly sarcastic sense of humour).

2. It begins by generating an entire planet, and populating it with buildings and alien craft.

3. the entire planet is beautifully rendered complete with atmosphere and photorealistic shadows.

4. - your craft will hover automatically - use the thrust button to explore the planet.

5. Can you find and retrieve the powerful Genesis Pod? This is the key to future planet generation.

6. Beware though, each successive planet you visit will be more densely populated and dangerous.

7. Keep an eye on your shield level! If shield level drops below 25% your laser targeting system will fail.

8. - remember you can enter fullscreen mode by clicking on the fullscreen button at the top right of the Terraform window (recommended).

9. - you can change the voice of your ship's co-pilot from System Preferences/Dictation & Speech.

10. - the Genesis pod will only be visible once you have destroyed a certain number of launch pads and ground to air guns.

11. - yellow pods provide smart bombs - useful when facing many adversaries at once.
