  • Was Doing Great

    By Keith_£ (Pcmac user)

I was frustrated with other software to write EXIF. Finding this allowed me to work like I wanted. Didn’t want to always export pics from Photos to get tags. This worked well for about 60 pictures, and then the last 20 that I hand typed in all the tags for, for some reason didn’t get saved even though I got the green check.

I downloaded this app to correct GPS and Date information on photos from a camera with incorrect settings. I imported a folder of images into the app and went to sort by photo date and, err.. I can't sort the photos, which means I cannot range select the photos I want to edit by date or the app name, which means I have to range import photos into the app instead. Okay, so how do I clear the list and import a working set of photos? Oh, I can't, I have to restart the app. Huh. Next, I imported 3 photo that were taken on the same day, added GPS coordinates and pushed save. A little warning icon showed up on one of the photos. I clicked that photo and it's preview wasn't present under the summary tab. I went to the filesystem through finder and tried to find the photo. It was gone. This app ate my picture on the first attempt to save. BEWARE AND AVOID THIS APP. I will be asking for my money back.
  • Doesn

Program does not change many EXIF fields as illustrated in nice pictures and it inexplicitily deletes others out of the camera that were not changed. Will not add f (aperture) setting, lens focal length, or permit description of lens for example. I sent developer complete screen captures of before and after exif screens and reported failures in complete detail. This was just changing a single photo, no telling what it might do in the batch change mode. After discovering one of the support emails contacts on the developers site was invalid, I found another and resent all of the data. I have had no response nor acknowledgment. As far as I am concerned this program is junk. Pretty pictures promising exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the program does not deliver. Save your money and buy one that works. Among poorest followup I've ever had from any developer.
  • mostly works

occasionally crashes when dragging images into app. also has a weird jitter in the “Details” tab that is very annoying while scrolling - like it tries to resize a pixel larger /smaller for every other pixel scrolled. very hard to look at. Other than those items, the app is good for quick viewing of exif data. I personally wish there was a saveable custom tab where you could put any data field from the list - I don’t really want to see ALL exif data, but would like to have a quick collection of what I’m interested in at the time. Haven’t tried editing or batch work yet.
