  • I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t like this app!

    By DavidRaymondMontgomery (Pcmac user)

I love the fact that I can pick and choose the files that I want to play. It is simply the best app I have ever had. It is far better than iTunes. I don’t have to throttle it to get it to work. Great app!
  • enormously helpful

getting to and getting at audio on a mac is sometimes a nightmare, itunes at its least cooperative, this little app is just what the doctor ordered, thank you, Max Schlee.
  • Simple, Effective Voice Recorder

    By The Motorcyclist (Pcmac user)

I don’t know what happened to those other reviewers, but my experience with this app has been fine. It records, it allows for renaming the file, and keeps recordings organized in a dedicated folder. What else can be asked if an app does what it’s supposed to do? This app works fine on my MacBook Air.
  • Nice Addition to my Apps

    By Rotobuster (Pcmac user)

I have an extensive collection of CDs. All have been ripped onto my hard drive, but I wanted a quick-and-dirty player in case someone lends me a CD which I don’t own but simply want to play. I don’t own a CD player any longer, and wanted the DVD drive attached to my computer to double as a CD player in those rare cases. iTunes is a hassle. It wants to rip the CD onto the drive and to play the ripped files, which is not what I necessarily want to do. I first tried the Lite version as an experiment. I installed it, inserted a physical CD into the drive, dragged the whole CD icon onto the app, and it played just fine. While this will probably not be my main ‘go-to’ player application for my ripped files, it’s a nice addition for playing, in my case, my CDs should I want to. I have a high-end stereo with a 192khz DAC and great electronics, and was very curious as to what quality this little inexpensive player would produce. I can say that the sound quality was as good as my best 192/32 hi-def WAV rips. Essentially, it adds convenience and a bit more capability to my system. I would like to see a ‘Clear’ button added, if possible. As the app stands today, the only way to clear the play list is to quit the program then reopen it. A minor quibble, but I do often listen to multiple albums, so an improvement here would be a good thing. Also, the track numbers don’t follow perfectly. On CDs with a track count greater than 9, the sequence in the menu reads 1,10,11, 2, etc., obviously following the leading digit for sequencing. But overall, pretty god app!
