Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Love it.

    By DawnW6789 (Pcmac user)

Read the reviews and none seemed good. Decided to go ahead and get the app since it was free. I am loving it so far. It does what I want; enter my fitness and food intake for each day. I know I will like it for when I am on the road and only have my iPad available for doing my data updates. It keeps me accountable for each day's fitness and food choices. One bad review was that you could not enter a 1/4 or .25 for a food choice. I added a zero in front of the decimal point and it worked. Figured that out on my first try. I see nothing wrong with it so far and am excited to use this app on the road. Reviewed February 4, 2015. The only complaint I have is this is the second time I wrote a review, the first one deleted itself when my user name was taken......that is upsetting. Great app, love it.
  • Stripped-down version

By Smackie the Frog (Pcmac user)

Finally realized I could use the iPhone version on iPad, which is a bit funky, but I finally get all the features. No clue why they chose to leave out so much from the iPad version, but it was a pisser. Even the "settings" were weird (only "option" was to log out!) No coaching, no blogs, no stupid little wheel to spin for points every day (even when there's nothing really to spend them on. Not sure why one guy whined about the app, urging you to "save your money," because it has always been totally free--a rarity. It's actually a great little app, as is the recipe app (which work together so you can input your own recipes or meal combos after it calculates calories for you based on ingredients). Just skip the basic iPad version until they make it work as well as the original.
  • Buggy app--don't spent the cash

    By Mojo 12647 (Pcmac user)

Strongly recommend getting the iPhone version for your iPad. You cannot put in decimals or fractions for servings on the iPad version. You cannot enter 3/4 of a cup or .75 cups of items. This means that you either ate one or two cups of rice. 1.5 is not possible. I am a veteran SparkPerson, so I want to like it. This app actually just stinks. It's buggy in many other ways, too. You can't cancel out of a food choice--you must add it and then delete. It also does not have a loading sign as it communicates with the site so it just stops working for a bit with no warning. Well--it is prettier than the iPhone version and you can access the water more easily--but that's it. No advantages--just loss of functionality as compared to iPhone version.
  • Best tracking app I've found

    By Bonmarche87 (Pcmac user)

It was easy to figure out and a breeze to use. Other apps are cumbersome and confusing. I like it even more since the upgrade to make it work more like the laptop version. I use it all the time when I'm away from my computer. It's especially useful when traveling. As far as entering recipes, I haven't tried that yet, but if you do it on your laptop and save it as a favorite, it's there on your IPad etc. or put it in as a grouping. Anyway, I love it.
