Not Happy - Not at all

I purchased this tool hoping for an easy/secure/encrypted backup solution which would be easy to setup and easy to recover my data if necessary. During tests, the filter methods are completely different than any other product on the market and none of them are documented. The developer did return one of my emails to answer this question, but the methods they gave me were documented NO WHERE (not even on their web page), and, when I asked if these details were documented somewhere, they did not return my email. Also, after sync’ing a set of files and encrypting them during the sync, how do you decrypt them? It seems there is no method to do this - you can sync and encrypt, but, if you need to get the data back, there is no method to decrypt. Pretty bad Greenworld….

File/Folder sync and encryption is what we need with cloud services

Great application that works as advertised. Developer responds promptly to inquiries even on a Sunday. This is my setup: I sync an unencrypted folder on my MacPro to the cloud AES256 encrypted with a password. I sync the encrypted cloud folder to a folder on my Macbook Air using the same application where it unencrypt using the password. Whatever file or folder I add to to Macbook Air folder get synced to the cloud. Upon restarting my MacPro those new files get decrypted on my computer. During transmission the files are encrypted. It works also with Dropbox. For the first time I trust my files in the cloud. I am a user of the Goodsync application as well so I trust the syncing protocol from this application. There is flexibility to choose backup, sync in various directions. I have done a lot of testing and so far so good. Kudo's to the developer.

If you are looking for a quick way to sync files with encryption, this is the app for you. It’s fairly easy to setup with a good amount of options available. The folder sync modes might seem confusing, but should work for nearly every scenerio you can think of. I do wish the app outlined the sync modes a little more. I did email the developer and response was very quick and freindly. I would definately recommend this app.
