Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Too Smart fot Me.

By Roger, Gone Green (Pcmac user)

I couldn't make the app do what I wanted it to do. Griped at the developer, via this review. Gave it one star, too. Developer politely told me how to do what I wanted. Didn't even whine about the review. NOW that the developer has fixxed the Wetware problem (me), it is a perfectly wonderful app and does everything I could want it to do. A future iteration might be cool to have the ability to set an alarm or two on a clock (e.g., I'm in Pacific time and I have to call in to someone at 9:00 AM Central; so I just set an alarm at the destination time without having to translate. Of Course then they'd have to change the name, to the app&A (and Alarm). Works, thoughtful features (like always-on-top mode) and responsive developer. What more could you really ask for . . .

Does what it’s supposed to. I’ve been trying to find the ultimate digital “date time, location, fonts, colors” widget at a reasonably cost. This is getting there and it works for me.
  • Good clocks!

    By Jvsydneyau (Pcmac user)

The analog and digital versions are both really good. Use them every day. The only suggestion I would have is to make it easier to find the time zones. For example, to find the time zone for Mumbai, you have to go to "Asia" and not "Indian Ocean". Which probably makes sense. But once you get to "Asia" the cities are listed without their countries, so there is a list of about 80 cities (for all of Asia) to pick from. There appears to be only one city for India, which maybe makes sense because it only has one time zone. But the one city picked is not Mumbai or New Delhi, but Calcutta. Ok, maybe that makes sense, but it is spelled "Kolkata", which maybe makes sense. But it makes too many assumptions for what I already know. In order to make a clock for Mumbai, I need to know India is in Asia, and that Mumbai is in the same time zone as Calcutta, and that an alternate spelling for Calcutta is Kolkata. Why not just list "India" as there is only one time zone. Or why not list more cities. Or why not be able to choose country then city. Anyway, except for that, it's good. Four stars, losing one star for difficulty in set-up.
  • Does notwork as advertized.

    By Just_use_a_nickname (Pcmac user)

Broken: The map search functionality returns an error when trying to find a location for a new clock. Nice to have: The new clock section does not have a search function, nor is it layed out to find a location easily. You cannot specify a clock based on knowing the GMT conversion. Design looks good, but the functionality is bad enough I will be requesting a refund.
