Great place for all Packers news.

I can’t have an app constantly interrupting me and drawing my phone battery with notices. There’s no way to turn them off. I want Packers news when I want to see it.

This app is good enough. I like how you can get news stories and live WTMJ radio broadcasts. However, the push notifications with breaking news is kind of annoying and is pretty much click bait. I get why they do it for advertising reasons but as a user it can be really annoying when there is major player news. You suddenly get a notification with something like "Starting defensive lineman out for the game. Slide to find out who." This is really annoying when you slide and are taken to the app. You aren't taken to the story, you are taken to the headline that is nothing more than the text of the push notification. You then have to back out of that and go to the news section and find the story. This is impossible if you are lucky enough to be at the stadium and you have slow to no internet connectivity.

I have had this app for several months now & have concluded that it is a terrible time waster, and not for the reasons you might assume. This app gives way too many useless notifications, sometimes 5 or more a day, & that number increases exponentially on game days. The vast majority of the notifications give no information. They might say something like "A player is injured, open the app to find out who". So, you dutifully open the app & are immediately confronted with a full screen ad. You close that & get to the main menu, (which usually has a bottom banner ad), so you click on the "News" button. You again have a banner ad at the bottom, then you scroll down to find the headline you are looking for (it may not be the 1st one). You find the headline, then notice there is a "Read More" button, so you click on that. You again have another ad large (which has a "Skip Ad" button that doesn't work), to scroll past, then you finally might find out who it is they are talking about, sometimes accompanied by a badly distorted photo. Once you find out your information, you back out of everything, only to have another notification shortly that causes this all to be repeated again. I am over it! This app gets deleted as soon as I finish this review. I'll get my news & other information from the real "Packers" app.
