1. Concepts are represented as a noun phrase enclosed in a rectangular box, and are connected to other concept boxes by arrows labeled with a verb or conjunction.

2. Concept boxes may have relationships to and from several other concept boxes, creating a graph of concepts, or concept map.

3. Concept maps organize knowledge in the form of a graph of concepts.

4. Mental allows you to draw concept maps, beautify them, and export them in pdf format.

5. These arrows and labels define the relationships between the connected concepts.

Install Mental app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Mental on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Mental"
The search will reveal the Mental app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Mental is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Mental.
Now enjoy Mental on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Mental,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Mental" » then Click "Install".
- Mental will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

- Allows users to create concept bubbles and put them together as they see fit

- Simple, straightforward, and incredibly easy to use

- Reliable and has a fantastic export feature

- Great for organizing college work, especially science-related material

- Free to download and use

☹ Cons:

- Lacks some key features such as an undo or redo option and the ability to change colors of individual nodes and links

- Automatically capitalizes the first letter of every word

- Connecting lines sometimes require a verb, leaving an uncompleted look

- No option for a large text box

Excellent but missing some key fetures

This, with out doubt, is one of my favorite apps to use for college work, especially science related because it lets me organize everything and makes it so much easier to study. While using this app I've notice some key features have been missing, like: an undo or redo option, the unnecessary ability to write everything you write with a capital letter at the beginning of every word, and sometimes I don't need a verb on the connecting line and the space that is left annoys me and it looks uncompleted. Also I would like if you would put an option for a large text box, that would be nice also. Overall a very useful app for college and has let me organize science related material very easy to understand and study. Thank you
Simple and effective mapping

Downloaded this to get some concept mapping capabilities on my iPad. The app has very few features, but is simple, straightforward, incredibly easy to use, and so far seems to be very reliable. The export feature is fantastic, and the price (or lack thereof) can't be beat. Would like to see ability to change colors of individual nodes, links, etc. otherwise, this app is nearly perfect.

Thank you so much for this app! For the longest time, I've been looking for a concept mapper app that doesn't fill in the links for you, but instead allows you to create concept bubbles then put them together as you see fit. This does exactly that. One suggestion: please include some way to "align" the map so we can tidy things up.

I've been trying to find a way to make my written concept maps and flowcharts look more professional and this app has made it possible. It's a lot simpler and easier to use than all the other apps I've been trying.
