Software Features and Description

1. To select the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL), click the settings button in the bottom tab bar, then select RCL in the top right corner of the Settings display then click Save.

2. This App is based upon the 1979 Book of Common Prayer (BCP - Episcopal Church) and the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL).

3. The purpose of the App is to provide the complete Year A, B, and C Sunday Lectionary scriptures that are normally only listed by their passages.

4. In the past, the reader would look up the passages in the Book of Common Prayer for the applicable Year and date.

5. The database and supporting algorithms also provide a perpetual yearly calendar for all Sunday readings (forever).

6. By having the readings in the app database saves the reader from having to look these scriptures up.

7. You will need to close and reopen to app after changing the Lectionary setting.

8. I hope you and your family enjoy this App as much as I have enjoyed creating it and using it for my own family.

9. Next they would individually open their Bible to the passage to obtain the reading.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using Sunday Lectionary on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Sunday Lectionary"
The search will reveal the Sunday Lectionary app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Sunday Lectionary is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Sunday Lectionary.
Now enjoy Sunday Lectionary on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Sunday Lectionary,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Sunday Lectionary" » then Click "Install".
- Sunday Lectionary will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

- Easy access to readings on phone

- No problems experienced in a couple of years of use

- Appreciation for the update and improved access to more than just the current week

☹ Cons:

- Some lectionary readings appear to be incorrect

- Only one of the two lectionary tracks is shown

- Dates are messed up and the app crashes

Thanks for the update! It no longer crashes, and I appreciate having easy access to more than just the current week. Much improved. Holding at 3 stars for now because it appears that some of the lectionary readings are not correct. Also, only one of the two lectionary tracks appears to be shown. I'll return to this for final review after I can check this against the book on the morning.

Having the readings where I can look at them on my phone makes it very easy to check during work breaks for any words not part of my standard vocabulary so that later I can check how to pronounce or a subtle unusual meaning that would make me read it a little differently.

This has been a good app until now. The dates are all messed up (to the last "year A" .) The app crashes now. Have been using this and the daily office for years for devotionals. Excellent overall. Hope you can fix it soon. YBIC, glenn PS: Since loading the Year B data, the app crashes like before. Has been running fine under iPad iOS 11. YBiC glenn
