To paraphrase Winston Churchill, change is good as long as it's in the right direction. Unfortunately, I don't think the changes/updates made in this Hawaii version make the game better. I love the original the app the Gems (I'm currently #4 in the world in Game Center); however, in my opinion, the sticky areas and transporters in Hawaii detract from the game. I see from the other reviews that most people like it, so it's obviously just a matter of taste. It's good they give you 5 levels in each stage to make up your mind before forking over the $1.99. I think that's fair. Definitely try it and see if you like it.
