  • Jump has attained perfection

    By bfchris (Pcmac user)

No other remote desktop software is able to play audio from the remote computer over the controlling computer’s speakers until the app! They claimed they were working to bring this to pass when I bought the app over a year ago. I figured they might deliver, but as an App Store app, where would be the incentive? Well, they have delivered on their promise, completing the functionality of this brilliant software. the app just works, without making things difficult, and now it conveys not just the screen visuals but the audio as well. An incredible accomplishment that not even the largest competitor can achieve. Here’s hoping all the refugees from that product will discover the app and join the party. I found the app so much easier to set up than a competitor’s product, and it just works beautifully on all my devices. Leaving the office behind is now stress-free, knowing I can remote in and accomplish some task which is holding up a workflow.
  • Works Perfectly

    By bmurphy1967 (Pcmac user)

Just writing a review as I searched for a while to find a good RDP for my Mac. I tried all the free (and almost free) apps with limited success. I finally decided you get what you pay for and it worked. It connects every time, no matter where I am. No lags in keystrokes or freezing or hanging up unless the public network connection I’m on is very slow. When that happens I just connect via Personal Hotspot and its full speed ahead again. I also like that the app automatically sizes itself to the screen it’s on so it’s full screen when I’m on the road or in my home office with a larger monitor. I work at home and on the road and our company moved to a new business suite that runs in an RDP environment and is used for almost everything I do. I need an RDP progam that will stay up and on all day, not just something I the app in and out of occaisionally and this one works perfectly.
  • Easy to Use and Works

    By The Razor (Pcmac user)

Although I personally had a hard time paying for something I could get for free from Microsoft, Remote Desktop, I’ve been a the app user since 2014. the app is extremely easy to use and works well. MS RD just never worked as smoothly or reliably. Note, this may have changed over the years, but I have no reason to go back and check. I routinely use the app to connect to Windows and Macs around the world, and more often than not the performace feels as if the computer is right next door. Little things such as printing, etc. just always seemed to work better in the app than they did in MS RD. The iPad and iPhone versions of the software work just as well although admittedly I use them considerably less than I do the desktop software, but the are great for logging in and checking the status of certain services / projects.

    By J. J. Y. L. (Pcmac user)

    J. D. is a VNC client that works reliaby and simply in my work with development and image processing with linux machines. I recommend J.D. for work with remote IDEs/terminals and for modest performance requirements involving image/video processing. It has tolerable performance for IDE-work even over older generation home Wifi routers + Cisco VPN; for prolonged work with display>1600x1200, home ethernet (1 Gbit) + VPN is more comfortable. Video streaming over J.D. appears to have ~1-10 Hz updates at ~1600x1200 on a 100 MBs capacity network at work. My servers are running CentOS + tiger VNC. J.D. has all the features I’ve needed for daily use with multiple linux servers for ~4 years and intermittent use previously. I’ve never had complaints. I haven’t made careful comparisons with Jolly’s VNC but for me they appear functionally equivalent. Just today realized that J.D. works for Windows as well.
