What is Glaze? Glaze is a photo editing app that turns your photos into paintings with your unique style. It offers dozens of included styles and allows you to create your own unique styles using the Workshop mode. You can control brush stroke placement and save images with transparent backgrounds for layering. The app is perfect for creating beautiful paintings, unique holiday cards, avatars, and profile pictures. You can save full-resolution images for poster prints and combine results with other apps using transparency features.

Software Features and Description

1. The Glaze Workshop allows you to create your own unique styles by generating variations and combinations of the included popular styles.

2. Create your own unique styles using the Workshop mode, allowing you to generate endless variations of the styles and blending styles together.

3. Select one of dozens of included styles and compare variations before sharing your image with friends or saving it for professional quality printing.

4. The Workshop lets you explore a huge range of styles and variations to find the perfect fit for each image.

5. Personal styles are controlled through a button palette which is saved and restored each time you use Glaze.

6. Save images with transparent backgrounds so they can be precisely layered using compositing apps, retaining the detail of each individual brush stroke.

7. Load images from your library before applying styles from the sliding style bar.

8. Generate random new styles to expand the range of possibilities and mix the random styles on your palette.

9. Glaze's standard Studio mode is great for quickly generating a few versions of a painting and sharing or saving the results.

10. Compare styles by tapping on their style buttons.

11. Share or save your final image with the button on the right side of the toolbar to the gallery, Facebook, Twitter, Email, or to other photo processing applications.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Glaze"
The search will reveal the Glaze app icon. Open, then click "Install".

- Has not been updated in quite a while

- Glitches and errors prevent the app from saving images to the photo gallery

- Monetization of various glazing textures has caused issues with saving

- User denied access error message appears when trying to save images

- No way to correct the issue in settings

- Cannot recommend purchasing the app until the issue is fixed

Workaround for saving error

As others have stated here, this was a great little app for customizing the look of your photos or images. But because of a user saving error, the app will no longer allow you to save your altered image back to photos in the customary way. So until the developer updates, if ever, the app to correct the issue, I can’t recommend purchasing this app! Thus the one star rating! But for those, like myself, who already own the app and like myself have bought many of the enhanced functions from within the app there is a workaround for the save function. Simply do a screen save by pressing the power and home button simultaneously or whatever button replaces the home button for those devices that don’t have one. It’s not as good as the in app save function where you could select the size and resolution but at least it allow you to save till hopefully the developer updates the app, but don’t hold your breath since nothing been done with the app in quite a while! ;-) It would be ashamed to let this little jewel of an art app go by the wayside but unfortunately many other similar type of apps from the early days of the App Store, have as well.

... Although it has not been updated in quite a while. I am really hoping to see an update soon, especially because of this app's potential. It is truly unique and, despite some glitches, it's a solid app. I would like to see some improvements with the masking tool as well as some bug fixes, particularly when it comes to crashing and/or freezing when in random mode (although I only find the freezing to be an issue when I leave it on the automated random road for a long period, which Innoway, it's almost understandable, considering how much input must be going into the thing). Anyways, this was just a review update. I still love the app, but I hope the developer plans on maintaining it!
The fix for save problems

Those of you running into problems trying to export/save images running later versions of iOS: instead of trying to save to the image gallery, choose the Email option, which will indeed render at the selected res and insert the image into an email, ready to be sent. A PITA, but hey, it works.
Doesn’t allow you to save

I have used this app for almost 2 years and it has been a great addition to my arsenal of artistic textures that I have on my iPad, but since the last update when they started monetizing the various glazing textures, the app won’t save to photos any more, it gives a message that says, “error saving: user denied access”, yet there is no way to correct that in settings. I paid for the app in full originally and it included everything that is being charged for separately currently. If you click restore past purchases, you get all the features, but it kills saving. This used to be a 5 star app, until this is fixed, it will be a 1 star or less if I could mark it so.
