  • the dude with 6 monitors and a projector

    By johnegq (Pcmac user)

this app has EVERY feature I have been looking for to help me with multiple monitors. problem: my mouse is lost on 1 of 7 screens…solved. problem: my monitors are too bright at night…solved. I have it configured so that I hit a hotkey and all my monitors EXCEPT my projector are dimmed. I have it configured so that anytime the mouse goes across monitor boundaries an effect happens and I can located the mouse. I have it configured so that the mouse has a “halo” around it. this app is for POWER users.
  • Press Option-Command-Slash after install, for Halo to show up

    By gratidudee (Pcmac user)

I would give this 5 stars if I did not have frustration and lost time trying to use it the first time. I patienly went to the tutorial when it did not “just work” — however the tutorial (in beginner, intermediate and expert flavors) did not tell me how to turn on the basic expected feature: putting something on my mouse to make it visible. To improve this product to 5 stars right here-and-now, and give your customers a crucial piece of information, here is my tip: After installing, press Option-Command-Slash to have a default halo appear. It would be great if you would put this in your tutorial … or just make the default that it is “on” upon install … or both. I was very glad to find the gallery for even more halo options, and that was well explained enough and flowed well enough there was no frustration. Just joy. :-)
  • I’m a geezer with poor eyesight. I need this

    By aumtn (Pcmac user)

I bought this primarily for the Mouse Locator function (available in the Lite version), but was more than happy to spend a couple of extra bucks for other functions that I will use less frequently in this Pro version. So my comments are limited to the Mouse Locator. You know whether you need Mouse Locator or not. If you’ve ever endured the frustration of not knowing where your mouse/trackpad pointer is on your Mac screen you need this. I only wish that I had purchased this years ago. For old Unix folk: there have been times when I, using the keyboard only, fired up XQuartz and launched xeyes just to deal with this.) But I don’t want xeyes (or a native equivalent) to always be taking up space, nor do I want to have to the triangulation that one does with xeyes. Likewise, I don’t want to make my mouse cursor permanently bigger. I don’t want it to be a distraction. I just want a hot key I can use to find my mouse cursor when I need it. this app does exactly what I need. I do recommend that people practice with it a couple times to be able to remember the hotkey when the need comes. If I have one complaint (and this really is just a matter of taste), I find this app too configurable. There are so many controls and options that instead of playing with them, I will just leave the default. I don’t want to be presented with a dozen different controls when I look at the preferences. Again, I am probably unusual in this matter of design. I have not looked at other apps that offer the same kind of thing, so perhaps the extreme control and configurability are a distinguishing feature. I’m satisfied with the default settings, so this “problem” isn’t an issue for me.
