If you want to install and use the Postmates - Food Delivery app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Postmates - Food Delivery in the search bar and press Search. Click on Postmates - Food Delivery application icon. A window of Postmates - Food Delivery on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Disastrous app

    By kmc3398
Can’t even begin to describe how angry I am after not getting what I ordered AND being robbed by hidden service fee! Tried to order food but the menu was from a completely different place. Then I went with my second choice and they had the menu for a different location which led to a phone call from the driver telling me 90% of what I ordered wasn’t available. Now my actual total is completely different from what I actually ordered. App lies on status of order, I’m watching it say my order is being prepared and about to leave for delivery and that’s when I got a call to say nothing I ordered is available. Worse food ordering app I’ve used. Wow! Just noticed an additional sneaky charge, a service fee of 20%, in addition to delivery fee and tip. Unfortunately you don’t even see this until the order is done. When you’re making your order this is hidden in with sales tax but after your card is charged it shows a service fee. This is theft! If I’d have seen a service and delivery fee I never would’ve ordered, but I guess they know this. This app is getting deleted immediately. They’d make more money off repeat business if it wasn’t so shady. Instead they choose to steal extra money on a one time transaction. It’s one thing to knowingly overpay for something you want but I not only paid more than I was aware but I didn’t even get what I wanted. Even after I found out they didn’t have the stuff I wanted, my second choices were incorrect also. Total disaster!
  • UPDATE: Unfair business... RESOLVED!

    By Stephadoll
The Postmates app has cliches. I double checked to make sure my order included the special instructions, but once I tapped order now I noticed the special instructions were not on my order. When I tried tracking my order delivery the app wasn’t refreshing in real time & the GPS map was blank it didn’t show any roads. I couldn’t tell where the driver was or how long til he’d arrive. I’ve been a loyal & frequent customer of Postmates, & I feel that my issue wasn’t addressed properly, I don’t eat guacamole, I can’t eat beans & salsa that makes me sick. I don’t have money to waste on food that I don’t like or can’t eat. I don’t believe that it’s fair that I have to pay for food that I had to mostly throw away! I ended up having food delivered from another business. Since they didn’t listen to my requests & are charging me for more than I think is fair. I’m immediately deleting the Postmates app, writing a review about their unfair treatment of customers complaints, & warning everyone I can not to do business with this company! —————————————————————————————— The App has been updated now works well Postmates gave me a full refund for my incorrect order. I’d order from them again, thanks Postmates for resolving my problem.
  • Very unimpressed

    By Cara7071985
I was excited about this app but after my first use, I deleted and will not use again. I placed an order. The driver assigned to my order went to pick it up and the order was not at the store. The driver contacted me to let me know and said he didn’t know what to do. I tried contacting postmates but there was no number to call. You can only submit a request. The issue was eventually resolved and my order was placed and my driver picked up my order. When my driver was on his way to me, he said the postmates app stopped working. I had to give him verbal directions on the phone. My order was delivered much later than it was supposed to arrive. This was not the driver’s fault. My driver, Melvin, was very professional and nice. He was awesome. He spent over 2 hours on my order. The app was messed up and would not let me give him a tip. My husband contacted postmates through Twitter to see how we could tip him. My order ended up being refunded, thankfully, but we still wanted to tip our driver. Postmates told my husband that we wouldn’t be able to do that. Melvin spent over 2 hours helping me get my food and he was not compensated for it. I would have given him cash but I didn’t have any on hand. Completely unimpressed with this app and the company. Even though I got a free meal, I will never use them again because it was more of a hassle than a convenience. I also don’t think they treat their employees very fair and I won’t support a business that does this.
  • Watch out for credit card fraud with this company!

    By Maxtnyc420
This is the worst company I've ever dealt with! I have a literally dealt with better customer service stationed out of Third World countries where they barely speak English! Following placing a single order it took me five days to resolve a simple issue! Nine days later I am still dealing with the ramifications of having placed one simple food order through this company. For the last three days I've been trying to get in touch with this company because they have been making unauthorized charges onto my credit card. I have sent a dozen emails in the last 72 hours and not a single person from this company has bothered to respond to me! They are literally conducting illegal and fraudulent activity and won't even respond to the consumer who is being affected! Nine days ago I asked them to cancel my account and I am still waiting for them to do that and in the interim I keep getting charges even though I'm not placing any deliveries! The only way to reach anyone at this company is through the stupidest support request form on their website and then you need to wait for them to respond! Please tell me how email is a suitable form of customer service when you're dealing with food delivery?! If you have an issue with your food on Saturday guess what you may not hear from the company till Monday! Literally just save yourself from the frustration, The grief and the headaches that will follow by ever using this company

  • Avoid!

    By Imerika
My first delivery service was great, but it stopped there. My next two orders were cancelled. The second order was cancelled because the restaurant “relocated or does not exist” (why was I even able to order????). The third order was the best - said it would take about 40 mins to deliver my food. After an hour, and the app saying the driver had been at the restaurant for at least 30 min minutes, I sent a message through Help. Next thing I know, I get a message saying my order was cancelled. WTAF?!?! So I check my email, and there’s a message that they “tried to reach the driver but he didn’t respond” so instead of contacting a different driver, they cancelled my order!!! Not to worry, they gave me a $10 Credit as well as refunded my entire fee. Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t put restaurants on the app that don’t exist, and use drivers that are responsible!!

They have fast delivery but I just do not like how they have a certain total and then charge you higher on your card it’s like your holding my money until you feel like giving it back and I really don’t appreciate that
  • Doordash is 100x better

    By Joy484
This app is awful with even worse service. There were many unnecessary fees added to my order after purchased. After trying to cancel 10 seconds after I placed the order, the cancelation fee was more than the single thing I ordered. There are too many “coupons” offered for this app that turn out being a gigantic scam. If you are looking for an easy, quick, and efficient delivery service, download doordash to cut the bs.
  • Stick with ubereats for custom orders.

    By tnk35498
EVERY single time I order, I get a text five minutes later telling me that an item from my order is out of stock and to replace the item. If I'm ordering a salad, for example, and the store is out of dang lettuce, it'll tell me to replace an item in my salad but gives no indication that the lettuce is what I need to replace. I have to replace the items one by one through trial and error until I stop getting the text. The fact that this has not been addressed is mind-boggling. There's no way to even write custom text to the restaurant to say "leave out ingredient if missing!" Absolutely ridiculous. I have spent more time ordering than eating. If I had a dollar for each time this happened, I'd have so many free meals on this thing....
  • Poor app

    By Eight2theuniverse
It shows my location as 3 streets over and at 12:21 pm every restaurant says available later . Super lameness
  • First and last time

    By ghostrida420
Decided to try this app out since I have a twisted ankle and can’t really walk around too much — first order placed at around 3pm from a place that’s nearby. App tells me it should be delivered in 40 minutes, then in about 30 it tells me someone picked it up and is on the way. Cool, not a problem, just need to go meet them outside. As soon as I get down I get a notification that my order was cancelled because it was “damaged” during delivery. Uh... what? Well ok, I’m just going to re-order. Same process, order placed, food being prepared, standard stuff. Then about 30 minutes in the process hangs at “order is being picked up” for like 20 extra minutes. Ok... why? What’s even going on? You don’t see the delivery person’s name, picture, anything. Finally someone picks it up and drives over, but they park around the building because the app didn’t tell them where the exact address is for some reason (every other app does this correctly). So I have to walk around my building to meet the driver, with a twisted ankle, my food being about 2+ hours late from the time of my first order. I’ll stick with Uber Eats guys, at least they actually deliver on time.
  • Use another service.

This one is great if you like to pay for one thing and receive something completely different... multiple times.
  • Do not use postmates

    By originalninjacat
I recently ordered a $5 box of munchkins (donut holes) from Dunkin Donuts via Postmates. These are shipped to Dunkin Donuts daily not cooked on site, and so 45 minutes after I order (there are 2 Dunkin Donuts less than a mile from my home), the driver texts me that there are no munchkins at all, would I like something else. Seeing as I was charged a total of Almost 18$ for a $5 item, I said just cancel. No one was inconvenienced, no food was prepared, no biggie. I was told to cancel via the app, and so I did, and Postmates charged $10, for nothing! When I tried to dispute, there is literally no way to do so. You can email and they don’t respond. There is no phone number. Again, no food was prepared, the restaurant did not have the item, and I waited 45+ minutes to be told, and then charged for canceling. When I called my bank to do a chargeback, they said they get frequent complaints just like mine about this business, and returned my money. So I look on yelp! And wouldn’t you know it? There are several pages of 1 star reviews just like mine, with the same complaints and even worse. Apparently this is very common with this company. Oh, and the app will say the order has been filled when they haven’t even ordered yet. Ridiculous!
  • horrible

    By zZzzxcjin
this is completely horrible! over priced & not accurate i ordered a sandwich and smoothie only got the sandwich and that cost $20 when its $10 in store ! then when i go to look at my transactions it says i didnt get a smoothie , which was the main purpose i order from there . i learned my lesson!
  • It works

    By pburge13
Over bearing. Tip my deliverer $5 cash, yet I’m demanded to type $0.00 tip. Relentless. I don’t mind tipping a good deliver, but I shouldn’t be compelled to tip for $6-10 delivery fee. Isn’t that what’s the money for.
