  • Great game but gets boring because...

    By 3thanGamerxxYT (Pcmac user)

If your looking for some amazing review about a game that costs 5$ so there’s no waste of money. The game is Ok. Then when you start your the app Adventure. You get a screen saying 2$ for no ads and get to play it offline so in total 7$ is going in the TRASH! Ok but if your gonna say I’m a “the app hater” I’m not I try to defend him as much as I can against haters. And I love when they make a new game so I can get it. But when this game came out I got it and I was disappointed after awhile . Sure before when I first got it was fun and the part that made me hang onto the game was that I can play the acts from the first Sonic4 as metal Sonics story so after that it started to get boring. The Chaos Emeralds are really easy to get like the same as the app 2 but take out the hard part. So after I got the Emeralds I was bored how I get to the Death Egg fly and beat metal the app super easy and then it the app CD metal the app race and uses that and then beat Eggmans final boss which is kinda hard and what you’ve all been waiting for the ending. It ends when you escape the exploding death egg and take some air pods out and that’s it no other cutscene the credits rolls with the app slowly going down from space. So I think the game is kinda.. No pretty bad but that’s my opinion so get the game if all that seems thrilling or anything so yeah.
  • How come no option for custom control

    By Aliencitizen51 (Pcmac user)

So unless I’m not seeing it and if so I will remove this review but as far as I can see In the first two classics it allows you to customize the controls in the setting. You can change the size of the d-pd and even allows some wiggle room for the location of the stick itself. I really liked that cause at first my natural placement on the phone was a little off from the default placement. If I tried moving right my finger naturally hit the down arrow causing a conflict in how I determined the controls but with the option to adjust them it solved the problem. I get this is more a personal conflict but I just don’t get why they have the option in the previous games and now with a game newer and more advanced they lack this option. It doesnt make sense but maybe there is a reason I’m not seeing. However maybe I’ve overlooked it and there still is an option. If so I can’t figure it out.
  • Love the game from start to finish/Great transfer

    By gaminglime64 (Pcmac user)

This game is really addictive to play until I beat just recently, all in a couple days. The game is a great part of my past, as it was my first look into the app the hedgehog, back in 2013. My only problem is sometimes the game can have some internet connection problems and be a little slow at times, but nothing really to complain about. Really good transfer in my part, from the gameplay to music, it’s not too bad. The only thing I have to confess about is, why is episode 2 free on the App Store and episode 1 is 2.99? Like it make no sense to give the second game free, but the first not. Because if people play this first and play the original second, it can mess up the entire experience and vibe, so at least make the first free, to be just as popular as the second, if you can. Overall, great game, just one marketing flaw and it’s perfect. So thanks sega!!! Ps: Still waiting for the app 3 and Knuckles and the app Spinball Remastered for the complete the app experience!!!
  • Decent game ruined by controls

    By georgedonnelly (Pcmac user)

This is actually a fun game. After hearing so many bad things of 4, I got a little worry-some, although it's actually pretty good. The homing attack makes things a little too easy; but it's fine. The problem is, though, the controls. The control stick which you use to control the app and Tails is pretty bad, and, despite looking the same, is nothing like the ones used in the Christian Whitehead remakes of the originals. First off, it's too small. Not only is it hard to move it around because of this; but your hand is always falling off the stick. My suggestion is to add a ability where you can make the stick larger, or smaller, like in the remakes. Something else, is performance. There is something wrong with the performance; I don't know if it's frame rate or something else. When standing still, everything likes decently fine. Also, I'm on an Ipad Mini 4, one of the newer devices, so I'm pretty sure it's not on my end. In the end, a decent game almost completely ruined by controls.
