  • Needs an update!!!

    By Spiffy911 (Pcmac user)

This app has been very useful to me but it is stil missing some key features I feel could be implemented to make the product better. I believe that it would be very useful to export the audio recordings and make it so you can put it into iTunes or your other iOS devices. The lack of this feature makes it very annoying because I have to open the app every time I want to listen to a lecture. It would be awesome if I could put the lectures on my iPhone and listen to the lecture while on the road to school every morning.
  • I Like It! Long-time User.

    By allgood2 (Pcmac user)

It's not the greatest app, though they've been making steady improvements. But what I need is an app that will the app meetings and lectures, allow for some limited notes or summary, and then place those items on a calendar. Surprisingly enough this app is the only one I found that does this. The audio quality is reasonable in small meetings 2-25 people, in a compact room. But surprisingly good in large spaces. I mean the sound comes out a bit quiet, but it's relatively easy to do an audio boost. What's good is it doesn't seem to collect all the background clutter. Yes, there are background noises, especially since I'm not adding a directional mic or any such thing. But a number of apps end up with lots of sound pops, static, and things that make the content harder to hear. I have a variety of sound apps and don't mind doing sound editing. But who wants to edit sound on meetings and lectures? Too that regard, sometimes I'm recording back-to-back meetings and having recordings grouped by date is fabulous. I can easily look up the title of the event, workshop, meeting, then label the files later. That makes a HUGE difference for me. So in summary… can you get better audio apps? Yes. Can you get a better recorder? Probably. But can you get another app that is super simple, easy to use, handles organizing your files by date of recording— in a visual calendar, and produces fairly clean audio? Not that I've found. I've been using this app for a few years and it has recorded hundreds of meetings and lectures for me. And for me, it's worth 4 stars for me to just scroll back and look for a recording from Jun 10th, 2016 and have it be there. Be able to quickly add a title, notes, and listen to the item.
  • No instructions…. nothing

    By RiverRat37 (Pcmac user)

It seems like a good idea and probably is (V 3.0) but there are absolutely no instructions, no manual and I can’t get it to work. What to do? No support. No manual. No good. I’m an “old guy” altho I worked in IS/IT development for 37 years. I suspect my 13-year old grand daughter could probably show me what’s needed but she’s a 2,000 miles away. What a pain. There’s far too much of this in the development world … a lack of seeing it from the user’s perspective instead of the developers. I used to lecture my developers that the computer is there to HELP the user. So it doesn’t matter how difficult it is for the developer, they must think of it as “how can I help the user” …. period. This product needs help desperately. It’s the perfect example of “how not to do it” for classroom study. THERE IS a link on this page that reads: this app Support …. but it directs me to buying another app, nothing to do with this app. So even the App Store can’t get it right. Using their search for “this app Support” returns “no results”. Pathetic.
  • so many flaws

    By audgold (Pcmac user)

this app has so many technical flaws. It will randomly speed up the recordings so fast that I can’t understand them without slowing them down through a different app. There will be random loud bursts of static. It will stop recording when my computer goes to sleep, which I understand, but it gives the false premise that it kept recording becuase the time wont stop until you pause it. so say my computer went to sleep after 15 minutes of a lecture, and after the lecture i stop it at 50 minutes. it’ll show up as a 50 minute recording, but whe you play it only 15 minutes are there. so you don’t know until you missed something really important and you want to go back to hear it. theres no way of avoiding it i guess, but the typing is super loud in the recordings. I had high hopes, I’m dissapointed.
