If you want to install and use the Amazon Music app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Amazon Music in the search bar and press Search. Click on Amazon Music application icon. A window of Amazon Music on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Need non-explicit playlists

I really need to have a non-explicit screening and playlists to choose from. I listen to music with my kids in the car and we share so they can listen on their own without me hearing what they are listening to. The songs that I’m hearing are so offensive that I am to the point where I can’t use this at all and I’m uninstalling from my kids phones. (I completely understand that they are picking these playlists so I’m not nieve). Plus, I’m telling people why I don’t like it and many teen parent groups agree that this should not be used by young teens and even older teens but we can’t be unrealistic. I am an advocate of keeping kids safe from unnecessary negative vulgar outside influences for as long as possible and this app does not keep kids safe at all. If you had something in settings where I could select non-explicit only that would take care of it and I would prefer that. Plus, it should default to the ‘safe’ mode automatically when installed. The older kids will know where to go change it to explicit. The adults might have a problem though. If you fix this problem, my rating will change immediately. I have tried to find this feature so if you already have it, please let me know where it is. Mom of twin 13, 15, 25, and 29 year olds.
  • I only have one issue

I love the app, I’ve had zero problems for the longest time. My only issue arose when J.I.D dropped Decaprio 2 recently. I downloaded the whole album, but then he changed the album cover, requiring me to redownload the album again. Usually when this happens it’s no big deal, but for this album in particular when I go to play the new versions to the songs I previously downloaded, the app doesn’t recognize those songs as new, and tries to play the old versions, which doesn’t work. When I try to play those songs, the “downloaded music error” message appears, giving me the options to either “start fresh” or “redownload missing songs”, neither of which amount to anything. I’m unsure if this has happened to any other albums, but this is my first experience where the album is changed and the new versions cannot be played because the app only recognizes the old versions. Please fix this issue. Other than that, I have no complaints regarding the app. I love it, but I’d love it more if I could listen to the explicit Decaprio 2- J.I.D album.
  • Best music app! Would give 4.5 stars!

I love this app! There's a few bugs but for the most part the app runs well. Rarely do I have to skip songs to get it to continue playing; sometimes it forgets where it's at in the song once I've hit paused so it'll replay from the beginning but I don't mind that. I love that I can listen to just about whatever I want for free. I just wish you could customize stations or that it was easier to find specific stations (There may be a way and I just haven't found it yet). I'd like to have an 80s, 90s, and today station just because it's all my favorite at one time. Oh well, I'm enjoying my random solely 80s music days so it's good. I also like the exposure to new music as well. Overall, love this app; very minimal complaints. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. Reduced to 3 stars. The has gotten buggy. It crashes every so often and takes several tries to restart it. I still like the ease of use and it's the only app I use for music however I'd like to see some updates pertaining to customer complaints. Back to 4 stars. Fewer crashes! Some bugs still when paired with Bluetooth but overall a great app
  • Almost great

I like having music whether I'm on WIF or offline. Tons of songs, artists, etc. My issue is after I've created a playlist - I can't change location where the song is in the playlist. I now have favorite songs I'd like to slide up higher in the list but since they were added last....I can't. I have to create a new play list :( There are times where I want to hear certain songs but the only choice is shuffle. Why can't I press a song & slide it up or down? It would be nice to also copy & paste same song in same playlist to hear it twice. Can't do that either. *Note - after having an awesome offline playlist for almost a year, I went I to the app and got a message that my playlist had expired! Had to start all over downloading my online music (playlists were not the same). Both my iPad and phone had the same issue a couple months apart. SO, make sure your online playlist has the same music you want offline.
