How to save your book

I was having problems with it crashing while making my book and each time it would delete what I had made even though I had pressed save. I was very frustrated. Then I discovered that there's a different way to actually save. Make a page or 2 and press the "back" button. A window will pop up asking you to save, say yes. It will exit you out of your edit and will save it! Then press the the app tools button in the top right corner of your book and you can continue editing and saving. It's annoying to have to do it that way but it's the only way I've found to actually complete a book without losing anything before it crashes. I hope the developers fix this. I haven't had any problems with it crashing while reading. My 2yr old loves his new book about his cousins!

It is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful app, but when I try to read my book after I'd say about... 5,6, or 7 pages it would crash completely. This is happening to my iPad a lot lately so I am wondering if it is just the apps or if it really is my iPad. I am wondering if maybe I should just get it fixed. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for making a wonderful app. But just try please try to fix the crashing problem. Thank you and have a wonderful day. Keep up the wonderful wonderful wonderful work you have been doing. Don't let those other reviews make you think you should just quit and give up. Prove them wrong! You are always awesome! I have a class set of iPads with this app already installed. Since I'm having problems getting my school district to install the story app I really wanted to use (toontastic) , I finally decided to let the students try it. They wrote their rough drafts on paper and finally were ready to use the app. I should have realized that since the app froze several times on my own personal iPad, that it would do the same on theirs. Sure enough after several students finished telling the story, the app froze up. I deleted, reinstalled, redid the entire story on my iPad, and sure enough froze again. I contacted customer support and got no reply. I have never felt the need to write a review of an app until I had to tell 20 kids that we would have to redo the stories on iMovie. Thanks grasshopper for my wasting students time!
great concept but can't use because it crashes and deletes

I love the concept of this app! I want to make social stories for the children in my classroom that need extra attention and encouragement. I have tried making the same story multiple times and, each time, the app has crashed, frozen, and/or deleted my story. I allowed a student to record his own voice on each page (since it was a story about him) and, when we got finished, the app had mixed the recordings up on several pages, sometimes having the same recording on multiple pages. It made no sense at all! The the app boy got frustrated (and bored) with it because we kept trying to get it right and the app kept messing it up. Please keep trying to fix the bugs because, like I said, it's a GREAT CONCEPT for an app!
